A new sport, the AQUATIC MARCH. The Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica (ASD) Laigueglia Blue Outdoor del Mare, affiliated with the Centro Nazionale Sportivo Libertas, promotes the MARCIA ACQUATICA, which improves blood circulation, tones muscles and reduces stress, as a complete and beneficial activity for all ages and especially for healthy and dynamic ageing, according to the UN’s Agenda 2030.
LAIGUEGLIA, which is one of the most beautiful Ligurian villages in Italy and a Blue Flag in Europe, knows how to take advantage of the SEA even IN WINTER with PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AMONG THE WAVES. With the aquatic march, which takes place on the sandy seabed – one of the largest in Liguria –, both active ageing and the deseasonalisation of tourism are promoted, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to experience the benefits of this practice in its natural environment.
The qualified WATER WALKING instructors of the Libertas Liguria Regional Sports School, Eliana NARIZZANO and Massimo COGLIATI, are the first in Italy to have been certified by CONI, and guarantee a high quality service, with two weekly appointments. FONDALI PULITI (Clean Seabed) IN SESTRI LEVANTE, Liguria. TELEGENOVA is broadcasting the programme NEL BLU, from an idea by Sergio Barello and Gianni Risso (video editing by Lorenzo Raineri), which recounts the CLEAN SEABED DAY that took place in Sestri Levante on 9 July 2023, with contributions and participation also of the CRESSI Company. The event was combined with the “UNDERWATER TREASURE HUNT” reserved for children up to 14 years of age and was also attended by the CRESSI “UNDERWATER” FLAGSHIP STORE in Sestri Levante.

OPERATION FONDALI PULITI IN ZOAGLI, Liguria. Giuseppe Loparrino presents his video on the 'Fondali Puliti' operation that successfully took place in Zoagli on 7 July 2023: conceived and organised by GIANNI RISSO since 1972, it takes place regularly throughout Italy. Volunteer divers RECOVERED SEVERAL QUINTALS of various ferrous materials brought underwater by the disastrous 2018 sea storm. The operation was sponsored by the Municipality of Zoagli and organised by www.apneaworld.com with the logistical support of Dimensione Diving in Lavagna (Genoa). Among others, CRESSI also contributed to the success, together with Maggi Officine professional diving watches from Milan, and Acqua su Misura from Bogliasco specialising in water purification. These three companies care about PROTECTING THE UNDERWATER ENVIRONMENT and are leaders in their fields. The mayor of Zoagli, Fabio De Ponti, also dived with an aqualung and actively contributed to the cleaning operations.

On Sunday 9 July 2023, SESTRI LEVANTE, he wonderful seaside resort in the Bay of Silence, Liguria, will host the 51st edition of the “CLEAN WATER DAY” combined with the “UNDERWATER TREASURE HUNT” reserved for CHILDREN UP TO 14 YEARS of age, assisted, even in the water, by an adult (parent or delegate). The initiative is organised by CLUB SUB SESTRI LEVANTE with Circolo Pescatori Sportivi Dilettanti Portobello, Lega Navale Italiana Sez. di Sestri Levante, and the patronage of the Sestri Levante Municipal Administration as part of the OPERAZIONE FONDALI PULITI (Operation Clean Seabed), promoted by apneaworld.com, CRESSI SUB, and Maggi Officine. The PROGRAMME is as follows:
9.00 a.m.: gathering at the Clubhouse - free registration “Treasure Hunt”
9.30-11 a.m.: cleaning operations at the Baia del Silenzio
11.00 a.m.: “Treasure Hunt” and then “rubbish” collection on the garbage truck
11.45 a.m.: meal service - “Treasure Hunt” award ceremony.
