Home race. Fastest bike split. Second place. 🥈🇩🇪

Not the home race Rico Bogen was hoping for, but a strong performance nonetheless. Despite feeling sick and not being able to race at his best, Rico battled all the way to the finish.

“Embrunman is one of the most iconic long distance triathlons. I’m very happy, very excited, and still taking it all in.”

Saleta Castro, just a few hours after becoming the fastest woman across the 3.8 km swim, 185 km bike and 42 km run at EmbrunMan:
“After 2 years and 8 months without doing an Ironman, I wasn’t sure how my body would respond, but I was able to control the race quite well. Being able to enjoy a race like this and have it under control doesn’t happen often, so I felt I had to make the most of the moment.”
