HOW DID IT COME TO MY MIND? Hi, I'm Nadja Messina. I was born in 1986 in Germany to my German mamma and my Sicilian dad. Now I live in Florence, Italy. From childhood on, the 2 things I loved most were dancing and painting. So, I took dance classes as a 3-year-old and taught hip hop classes when I was 16. No joke, one night, 3 years ago, I woke up with the idea of combining easy dance choreographies and splashing liquid paint on the walls. My parents were not amused about splashing in their house. So, here I am, 3 years later, offering my future child's room as a color dancing studio. I invite you all: no dance skills and no paint skills needed. Color Dancing is an art of expression. While you move, you splash color everywhere on the walls and floor of the Color Dance room and on yourself. Freestyle is absolutely welcome. SERVICES
Clothes protection, gloves, color, music, choreographies, water, washroom and changing room are provided. Personal adaption to age and dance level. No skills needed, freestyle welcome! CLOTHES PROTECTION
Every Color Dancer gets a paint suit to protect clothes from the splashing colors. You can get gloves, too, but it's also fun to touch the color with your bare hands. You can wash it off in our washroom. MUSIC AND CHOREOGRAPHIES
I love reggae, hip hop and gipsy punk music and I'm open for special requests. The choreographies I invent are easy, leaving room for freestyle and focussing on fun color splashing. Children, people my age, parents and grandparents, skilled dancers and very beginners are all welcome. I invite you to take part in a personal color dance experience with a maximum of 4 adults or 6 kids. THE COLOR
The color comes from Germany and it's the one children use in Kindergarden, called finger paint. It doesn't irritate your skin, has no smell and washes off easily. Still, I don't promise that you won't get dirty. Don't wear your Sunday clothes :)
