There are places that become part of your journey.

For me, one of those places is a small w**ery in Montalcino… and a person: Giacomo.

We met many years ago, between 2005 and 2015, when everything was just beginning.
We were younger, full of energy, and every day felt like an adventure.

I used to bring my guests there, and together we didn’t just taste w**e — we created real experiences.
Long conversations, curiosity, questions… people were truly eager to understand, to learn, to discover the world of great Italian w**es.

Those were special moments. Authentic. Spontaneous. Real.

Over the years, we both grew.
Step by step, experience after experience, season after season.

Today, seeing what Giacomo has achieved with his w**ery, Il Cocco, makes me genuinely proud.
The quality, the dedication, the results… they tell a story of passion and hard work.

Looking back, I can say we did something meaningful.
We grew together — personally and professionally.

And that’s what this journey is really about.

Based on what you’re looking for — great food, beautiful scenery, and a relaxed pace — the countryside will give you a much more authentic and memorable experience. Properties like Rosewood, Castello di Casole, or Borgo Santo Pietro are destinations in themselves.

My suggestion would be:
4 nights in the countryside + 1 day trip to Florence

That way, you can enjoy slow mornings, long lunches, w**e tastings, and still visit Florence without the stress of staying in the city.
