𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
As President of a team that every year is home to football-passionates from many, many different countries, I am horrified by the invasion of Ukraine by the current Russian regime. As a President of a team that is and has been home to formidable Ukrainian players, I want to send a big hug to them, to their dear ones, and to everyone who is directly suffering from this war. I don't want to make names now because in war situations you never know the consequences, but thoughts go of course to goalkeepers, wingers and defenders that have joined us on the pitch. Personally, I am thinking a lot of a Ukrainian Campione AICS: Together with him we shared many great moments, sweating side by side on the pitch to defend our goal and to win those 3 points...
Last but not least, as a citizen of the European Union, I can't help but to feel ashamed that so far we have not been able to produce anything more than some sanctions. And even about that we have been hesitant, so much afraid that it would cost us something economically. A neighbouring country with whom we have been flirting for the past 15 years is being invaded and humiliated. And we think about our energy supplies...
