BMF Race Team member Shaun Wilde competing last weekend in the North Face Lavaredo Ultra Trail Race in Cortina, Italy. This is his final long distance race for 2017 including the Marmot Dark Mountain Marathon and the Low Alpine Mountain Marathon. It's now back to concentrating on OCR with the main targets being the Spartan European Championships and the OCR World Championships in September and October 💪👊

Reunion at OMM - Original Mountain Marathon Iceland at the weekend. Team David Hellard & Claire Briggs won the short course, closely followed by team Freya Martin & Michael Martin in 4th and team Clare Rees & Pete Rees and team Alfie Budjanovcanin & George Restall not far behind, even though George's bag was 12kg. Team Graham Law and Mark Mene may still be out there, his bag is - thanks easyJet. Huge respect to Alex Cawthorne and Andrew Cawthorne for doing the long course. Was a truly amazing event - running in and out of the clouds, sometimes so lost that you had to rock climb your way out. Thanks to 2XU for the compression gear, inov-8 All Terrain Running for the TerraClaws, amazing underfoot . LYO FOOD for a mind blowing array of healthy light-weight food (best porridge we've ever had). Terra Nova Equipment for the laser tent which even we could put up first attempt without needing the aid of half of Mudstacle crew and weighing in at less than Mene's protein supplements. Thanks CLIF Bar for the shotbloks and bars. Full report to follow in Trail Runner magazine.
