The Story Behind the Name

Many people ask us, “Why Hannibal’s Crossing?” — and the answer is rooted in both history and our home.

Based in Ticino, Switzerland, we find inspiration in one of the most legendary journeys in history — the crossing of the Alps by Hannibal of Carthage. With his army and war elephants, he defied nature and strategy to take on the Roman Empire.

Historians believe Hannibal may have passed through the very region where our company is based. His courage, planning, and determination reflect the values we build into everything we create.

At Hannibal’s Crossing, we don’t organize events — we equip them. We design and supply high-quality obstacles for races and training, helping athletes around the world test their limits and train with purpose.

Our name is a tribute to that legendary crossing — and a symbol of the strength we help others unlock.
