Starting at 8:00 AM tomorrow, the final stage of the Trofeo Filippi 2026 gets underway at Marina di Castagneto, with €20,000 in prize money awarded to the winners of the three Olympic Beach Sprint events.

🇬🇧 The official opening day of the Filippi Trophy 2026 final stage began with all the energy of the beach in Marina di Castagneto.
Unfortunately, strong wind and large waves forced the organisation to revise the race programme, with racing now rescheduled across Saturday and Sunday.
In the meantime, here are a few moments from this morning’s final training sessions, before the weather changed the rhythm of the day.

The competition is only postponed. The Grand Finale is waiting.

🇮🇹 La prima giornata ufficiale del Trofeo Filippi 2026 tappa finale si è aperta con tutta l’energia della spiaggia di Marina di Castagneto.
Purtroppo, il forte vento e le grandi onde hanno costretto l’organizzazione a rivedere il programma gare, che sarà recuperato nelle giornate di sabato e domenica.
Nel frattempo, riguardiamo alcuni scatti delle ultime sessioni di allenamento svoltesi questa mattina, prima che le condizioni meteo cambiassero il ritmo della giornata.

La competizione è solo posticipata. Il Gran Finale ci aspetta.

🇬🇧 The race venue is taking shape. More and more nations are arriving on the beach of Marina di Castagneto, as athletes get into race mode in the official training sessions.
Meanwhile, the Organising Committee is completing every detail of the setup, ready to welcome the races of the Filippi Trophy 2026 final stage, starting tomorrow afternoon.
Preparation is almost complete. The Grand Finale is about to begin.

🇮🇹 Il campo gara prende forma. Le nazioni continuano ad arrivare sulla spiaggia di Marina di Castagneto, mentre gli atleti entrano sempre più nel ritmo della competizione con le sessioni di allenamento ufficiali.
Nel frattempo, il Comitato Organizzatore sta ultimando ogni dettaglio dell’allestimento, pronto ad accogliere le gare del Trofeo Filippi 2026 tappa finale, al via da domani pomeriggio.
La preparazione è quasi finita. Il Gran Finale sta per cominciare.

🇬🇧 This morning, near the race venue in Marina di Castagneto, the official presentation of the International Filippi Trophy 2026 took place.
The Organising Committee presented the event programme, the work behind the race venue setup, the streaming coverage and the 2026 side events created to engage the local community and younger spectators.

At the main table were Fabrizio Quaglino - FIC vice-president, Silvia Fuselli and Cristiano Pullini - councilors for Sport and Tourism of the Municipality of Castagneto Carducci, David Filippi - CEO of Filippiboats, and Claudio Bagnoli - CND president, together with guests, sponsors and event partners for the presentation.

The final surprise was the entrance of FIL, the official mascot of the Trophy, who revealed his identity… Chris Bak, current Beach Sprint World Champion in the men’s solo.

The race venue is almost ready. The Grand Finale is about to begin.

🇮🇹 Questa mattina, nei pressi del campo gara di Marina di Castagneto, si è tenuta la presentazione ufficiale della tappa finale del Trofeo Filippi 2026.
Il Comitato Organizzatore ha presentato il programma dell’evento, il lavoro svolto per l’allestimento del campo gara, la copertura streaming e le novità 2026 pensate per coinvolgere il pubblico locale e i più piccoli.
Al tavolo principale erano presenti Fabrizio Quaglino - vicepresidente FIC, Silvia Fuselli e Cristiano Pullini - assessori allo Sport e Turismo del Comune di Castagneto Carducci, David Filippi - CEO del Cantiere Filippi, e Claudio Bagnoli - presidente CND, insieme a ospiti, sponsor e collaboratori dell’evento.

Nel finale, una sorpresa speciale: l’ingresso di FIL, la mascotte ufficiale del Trofeo, che ha rivelato la propria identità… Chris Bak, attuale campione mondiale di Beach Sprint nel singolo maschile.

Il campo gara è quasi pronto. Il Gran Finale sta per iniziare.

Registration closed last night for the final stage of the Filippi Trophy 2026, and Marina di Castagneto is ready to welcome an incredible field:

A new participation record for the Filippi Trophy 2026 — and the perfect way to close this year’s international circuit.

And for those who can’t be here with us, the races on Saturday and Sunday will be streamed worldwide on the Filippi Boats YouTube channel.

Tomorrow morning, the official presentation of the event will take place near the race course.

The beach is already warming up. 🌊🚣‍♂️

This morning at Marina di Castagneto, athletes from Australia 🇦🇺, China 🇨🇳, Lithuania 🇱🇹, Croatia 🇭🇷, France 🇫🇷, USA 🇺🇸, Peru 🇵🇪 and Colombia 🇨🇴 hit the water for their training sessions ahead of this weekend’s Filippi Trophy 2026.

And this is only the beginning: more nations and Italian clubs will be joining in the coming days, bringing even more speed, focus and Beach Sprint energy to the shoreline.
We can’t wait to see these athletes turn today’s preparation into pure racing action from 5–7 June.

Marina di Castagneto is ready. The countdown is on.

The new Filippi coastal shoes are here 💥
Modular TPU construction, built in two parts (heel block + upper block) and secured to the footboard with a slot + a single bolt — fast, wide-range adjustment for shared boats.

Set foot depth by positioning the heel block. The shape is designed for quick entry and rapid exits while staying secure and stable under load, with a heel area that flexes with the foot for a more natural feel — and quick exits without extra emergency-release hardware.

You’ll see them in action next week on Filippi boats at the Filippi Lido Trophy Final Stage in Marina di Castagneto (5–7 June 2026).

🚨 Big news for Filippi Boats 🚨
Filippi has been selected as the exclusive supplier for the Senior Men’s and Women’s Single Sculls at the upcoming European Beach Sprint Championships, taking place from September 18–20 in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain 🇪🇸
For the Endurance discipline, Filippi will also be the official supplier of the Senior Men’s and Women’s Single Sculls and the Coxed Quadruple Sculls.

European Rowing Coastal Challenge 🌊🚣‍♂️ the Organizing Committee of the Filippi International Trophy (Olympic beach sprint rowing) has teamed up with the Rome-based association Piublu for the final stage of the “Lido Filippi” circuit.
A Piublu stand will be set up on the beach of Marina di Castagneto, offering sustainability activities for all ages ♻️🌍, with a special focus on around 60 middle school students from “L.Bezzini” school, attending the event on Saturday, June 6.
According to the association’s statement, Piublu’s presence highlights the strong link between sport and local territory, bringing together athletes, families, and sports groups in a spirit of sharing and respect for nature. The association promotes values such as commitment, inclusion, and teamwork 🤝.
The Filippi Trophy becomes not just a competition, but also a chance for young athletes to learn, grow, and get inspired “.💙

A morning entirely dedicated to the nearly 400 students of “G.Borsi Primary School and “L. Bezzini” Middle School in Donoratico, who were the very first in the world to officially meet “FIL”, the turtle mascot of the final stage of the Filippi Coastal Rowing Trophy – Olympic Beach Sprint 🐢🚣‍♂️
“FIL” was created by Soraya Parietti from the Marco Polo School in Cecina and selected by popular vote last March on our Instagram profile.
A huge thank you to the school principals, teachers🧑‍🏫👩‍🏫, staff, and students👨‍🎓👩‍🎓for the warm welcome and hospitality ❤️. Thanks to and main partners of the event.
