Così anche la tradizionale Pro-Am di Villa d’Este è diventata un’occasione per celebrare i cento anni del Circolo, con la regia della Green Golf Academy. I professionisti di Villa d’Este, guidati da Alessandro Frigerio, hanno accolto colleghi e ospiti giocatori con omaggi e sorprese firmati dagli sponsor e dai partner di giornata che, assieme agli sponsor del Centenario, hanno offerto piacevoli momenti di degustazione lungo il percorso. Poi la cena e la musica sulla celebre e impareggiabile terrazza panoramica, setting speciale per una giornata da ricordare.

The Villa d'Este professionals, led by Alessandro Frigerio, welcomed their colleagues and player guests with tributes and surprises from the events' sponsors and partners who, together with the Centenary sponsors, provided delightful tasting experiences throughout the course. Then, the special set for a picturesque conclusion has been the famous and unparalleled terrace with a view. Dinner and music with a magic touch.

In the year of its Centenary, the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este becomes a Sponsor of Circolo Golf Villa d'Este.

Since 1929, this prestigious event has brought together some of the world's most beautiful and rare automobiles on the shores of Lake Como, becoming a benchmark gathering for enthusiasts, collectors, and leading figures of the international automotive world.

Originally conceived as a celebration of classic cars, the Concorso has evolved over the years, pairing historic automotive masterpieces with cutting-edge concept cars and visions of the future, in a continuous dialogue between heritage and innovation.

A legendary event that, much like Circolo Golf Villa d'Este, preserves the value of tradition while interpreting it through a contemporary lens.

🇮🇹 Ha lasciato un’eredità sportiva infinita. Considerata per 25 anni una delle migliori giocatrici d'Europa, era allieva di Pietro Manca, Bill Cox e John Jacobs. Swing classico, regolare, forte soprattutto nel gioco lungo. Combattiva, specie nei momenti cruciali, senza mai sottovalutare le avversarie. Al Circolo Golf Villa d’Este quell’anno vinceva per la quinta volta gli Internazionali d’Italia, e altri cinque titoli dovevano ancora arrivare. Il decimo e ultimo nel 1969.

🇬🇧 She left an endless sporting legacy. Considered one of the best players in Europe for 25 years, she was coached by Pietro Manca, Bill Cox and John Jacobs. Classic swing, regular, very strong in the long game. Combative, especially at crucial moments, she never underestimated her opponents. At Circolo Golf Villa d'Este, that year, she won the Italian International for the fifth time, and five more titles were yet to come. The tenth and last one in 1969.

Tra agonismo di alto livello, fair play e sorrisi

Classe 1933. In campo per 79 anni, la Targa d’Oro dimostra uno spirito più giovane che mai. L’età dei giocatori scende, la qualità del gioco sale. Lei ha solo 13 anni, lui 15. Ginevra Tassoni (Ambrosiano) ha vinto con 213 colpi nei tre giri, Alessandro Comparone (compagno di circolo) ha fatto altrettanto firmando uno score totale di 208 colpi. Talento, grinta, passione, impegno e concentrazione. I ragazzi mettono in campo un agonismo di alto livello nel rispetto dell’avversario, ma anche abbracci e sorrisi. Così, piccoli campioni continuano a crescere sulle storiche buche di Villa d’Este.

Ad aggiudicarsi i titoli della LXXIX edizione sono stati: Categoria Femminile Ginevra Tassoni Teg (Circolo Golf Ambrosiano) Totale +6 (69-72-72) Categoria Maschile Alessandro Comparone (Circolo Golf Ambrosiano) Totale +1 (68-69-71) Complimenti ai vincitori e a tutti i giocatori che, con il loro talento e il loro spirito competitivo, hanno contribuito a scrivere un nuovo capitolo della storia della Targa d’Oro. 🇮🇹 Non c’è gara nazionale più antica in Italia. Saranno 80 edizioni nel 2027.
Certo di quanto intriganti fossero le buche appena realizzate tra i boschi di Montorfano, il Circolo Golf Villa d’Este (nato nel 1926) ha lanciato da subito le sue sfide. Oltreconfine e in casa. Open d’Italia, Internazionali, non si contano i Campionati italiani di ogni categoria, i Meeting con altri blasonati club europei, anche incontri continentali. Tra le sue storie di agonismo più belle e al livello più alto c’è quella della Targa d’Oro, gara che è sempre stata un punto di riferimento per la Federgolf. In campo dal 1933, è in assoluto la più longeva del Paese tra gli appuntamenti di alto livello per gli amateur. L’edizione numero 79 è in campo da domani per tre round (23-25 maggio, ingresso libero).

🇮🇹 Il Circolo Golf Villa d’Este ha incoronato il suo Hickory Master, il professionista austriaco Markus Brier
Per il Circolo di Montorfano è stato un richiamo forte ai suoi cento anni di storia, un viaggio nel tempo che ha voluto sottolineare la bellezza, l’eleganza e la qualità del golf di una volta. Gli stessi valori che Villa d’Este custodisce con passione. 37 i giocatori in campo tra professionisti e dilettanti, 17 i Paesi rappresentati, due giorni di gara con bastoni d’epoca originali e un preciso dress code. D’altri tempi anche il trofeo, una reinterpretazione in argento del Rake Niblick, il bastone iconico di fine Ottocento che Markus Brier (2 titoli sul DP World Tour e 2 sul Legend Tour) ha saputo conquistare con lo score di 141 colpi (69-72). Gran finale tra sole, temporali e sospensioni del gioco. Paolo Quirici (co-fondatore di Hickory Golf Masters) è rimasto al comando della gara dall’inizio a due buche dal termine, dove l’austriaco lo ha superato con birdie in entrambe, vincendo di un colpo.
