🇬🇧This month has been one of the most intense of our Moth Challenge journey. A key milestone was the launch of our boat, a moment that marked the transition from months of design and construction to seeing our work finally touch the water.
Following the launch, most of our efforts were focused on completing the final adjustments needed before the SuMoth Challenge. We spent countless hours refining small details, solving unexpected issues, and implementing last-minute modifications, particularly on parts of the mechanical system and rigging. While these changes may seem minor, they play a crucial role in ensuring the boat performs as intended.
Another important achievement was our first sea trial. Although the wind conditions were not ideal and limited the amount of testing we could carry out, the session was still extremely valuable. It allowed us to verify several systems, identify areas for improvement, and most importantly, gave our skippers their first real opportunity to become familiar with the boat on the water.
The past few weeks have been challenging, stressful, and demanding, but they have also brought us closer to our goal. Every adjustment, every test, and every lesson learned contributes to the development of the project and prepares us for the next stages ahead.
We are excited to keep building on this progress and look forward to the challenges and opportunities that the coming months will bring.

🇬🇧 Day 2 ⛵🚀
Yesterday marked the beginning of the racing phase of the competition.
Due to the light wind conditions, only one race could be completed. Nevertheless, it gave us the opportunity to put Fenixi to the test in a competitive environment and gather valuable insights into the boat’s performance on the racecourse.
During the race, we encountered some issues related to onboard and sail trim adjustments. The team spent the rest of the afternoon analyzing the collected data and working on improvements to further optimize the prototype’s performance.

🇮🇹Day 2 ⛵🚀
Yesterday was also dedicated to the final sea trials before the start of the races.
Between sailing sessions and work on shore, we continued collecting data and testing the prototype in different conditions, with particular attention to fine-tuning the mechanical system and adjusting the foils. Each test provided valuable insights into various parameters, helping us better understand the boat’s behavior and identify areas for improvement.
Developing a prototype also means facing challenges and unexpected issues: every problem identified is a step forward toward a better solution. 🔧⚙️

🇬🇧Day 0 ⛵🚀
Yesterday was dedicated to preparation activities and preliminary testing at the SuMoth.
While the team leaders attended the organizational meeting with the event staff, the rest of the team carried out a series of tests and data collection activities on the prototype. These sessions are essential for analyzing the boat’s behavior, validating onboard systems, and gathering valuable insights to support our work throughout the competition.
Every piece of data collected is an opportunity to keep improving and make the most of the challenges ahead. 🔥
