The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) was founded in 2004, and currently has offices in Germany, USA, Italy, Indonesia, Tanzania and Brazil. With title fights in places such as China, Argentina, France, USA, Germany, Ecuador, Bolivia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Egypt, Finland, Tanzania, Fiji, Kenya, Uganda, Slovakia, Serbia, Vanuatu, Denmark, Poland, Bulgaria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uruguay, Trinidad, Hungary, Brazil, Latvia and Georgia, the UBO has truly developed into a global sanctioning body. We of course want to present the best boxers possible as our world champions, but we also feel great pride and satisfaction when seeing lesser-known boxers achieve their goal of winning a title, and when smaller promoters are able to arrange championship fights as a result of our cooperation. 📄 Hallie Stops Aggressive Deronja, Wins UBO Inter-Continental Title.

- On Saturday night, September 12, in Wilnis, Netherlands, Kilat Hallie captured the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Cruiserweight title.

In the main event of a show at the Sporthal de Willistee, Hallie defeated game but out-gunned co-challenger Adnan Deronja from Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Hallie, a 30-year-old southpaw from nearby Uden, boxed well behind his jab and mixed his attacks effectively to head and body.

Deronja (30) was aggressive, crude and unorthodox in his attacks, and clearly had a game-plan of landing big shots early in an attempt to end things early.

The home-man was effective in counter-punching when Deronja attacked, and it was eventually body-shots and uppercuts which put the visitor down in round three.

Deronja beat the count of referee Hassan Naji and made it through the round. In round four he tried his best to get back in the fight, but Halli was in full control. When the bell rang for round five, Deronja retired on his stool.

The new UBO Inter-Continental champion improved his professional record to 17-2 (11), while Deronja falls to 20-15 (12).

The fight was promoted by The Evolution of Boxing, headed by Mitchel Suppan, and was streamed live world-wide via Pay-Per-View.

📄 Former UBO Champions Collide For Continental (Europe) Title.

- Two former Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) champions are set to collide for the vacant UBO Continental (Europe) Super Middleweight title on October 17 at the BMX Arena in Pembroke, Malta.

One of the most prominent boxers to come out of the small island country in the Mediterranean Sea, Christian Schembri, will face Martin Gruy from Slovakia in the main event of “Island Knockouts”.

Schembri (28-13-1, 11 KOs), known for his willingness to take on all comers, raised eyebrows when he turned pro in 2015 against former Commonwealth titlist and WBU world champion Scott Dixon.

In a ten-rounder, he lost only by Majority Decision, and went on to rematch and defeat Dixon in his fourth fight the following year.

In 2019 Schembri captured the UBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title by stopping battle-tested Georgian Paata Varduasvili, before beating Dixon in their rubber match in 2020.

28-year-old Martin “Guru” Gruy (10-2, 7 KOs) has only campaigned in the paid ranks since 2024, but has not wasted much time.

After six victories in quick succession, he won the UBO International Middleweight title that same year, defeating undefeated fellow countryman Tomas Pomahac.

In November of last year he gave 32-0 German Mario Jassman all he could handle, in Germany, before losing a close and controversial decision after ten rounds.

Gruy has youth on his side, and has proved that he can punch, but Schembri brings a clear advantage in experience and has never been stopped. This fight has fifty-fifty written all over it!

📄 Zhuk vs. Kolarik For UBO International Title In Ukraine.

❗❗ POSTPONED! NEW DATE: OCTOBER 10 ❗❗

- The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) returns to the great country of Ukraine, when the UBO International Cruiserweight title is on the line on September 20 in Obukhiv, not far from Kyiv.

In the main event of a card promoted by Spartabox in association with Top Boxing Generation, local hero Oleksii “Viking” Zhuk will take on Adam Kolarik from Czechia for the vacant title.

This is a fight with entertainment guaranteed, as both men are known for their all-action style. None of them have glossy records, but they are tough warriors who will give it their all.

Zhuk (7-5, 5 KOs) turned professional in 2017, and lost three of his first five before winning seven of his next nine, losing only in national title fights.

The 37-year-old puncher has won his last three by stoppage, and is ready for a grand home-coming against an opponent who is well known in Ukraine.

Kolarik (10-11, 7 KOs) gave undefeated Oleksandr Hrytsiv (7-0) all he could handle in their 2024 fight in Lviv, before losing a decision.

He has proven several times that records are just numbers, and it would not be the first time if he goes into his opponents back-yard and gets the victory.

In 2022 he beat Armend Bukaku (3-0) in Germany, in 2023 he beat Elbasan Hajzeraj (5-0) in Switzerland, and in 2025 he defeated Adrian King (5-0) in the UK and Thorbjorn Boudigaard (8-2) in Denmark.

The Zhuk vs. Kolarik UBO championship headliner will be preceded by a well-matched undercard featuring local talent.

🥇🏆 August 2026 UBO Boxer Of The Month: Jerson Angola.

- 21-year-old undefeated Jerson Angola is the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Boxer of the Month for August 2026.

On August 1, in his opponents home-town, Angola defeated Chilean David Olmos to win the vacant UBO Continental (South America) Welterweight title.

It was an excellent fight with plenty of back and forth action, and both boxers deserves credit, but it was Angola who had just a little bit more.

With a knock-down of Olmos in round seven he got the split decision victory over a very good opponent in Olmos, who also put on perhaps his best performances to date.

The Cali man improved his record to 8-0 (2), and proved that he could be one of his country´s future stars.

📌 Turkey´s UBO Inter-Continental Super Middleweight champion Kenan Guzel (7-1, 5 KOs) will attempt to add the WBC Silver title at Middleweight to his resume, when he faces Dylan Biggs (18-1, 9 KOs) in Queensland, Australia on Sunday, August 30.

We wish him the best of luck!

📌 UBO Youth Super Flyweight champion Sameer Khan (5-0, 2 KOs) from Pakistan returns on August 30 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Khan, who won the UBO title in Thailand last September, will take on Chenghao Luo (8-3-1, 4 KOs) from China over ten rounds.

📌 Ion (Mario) Boboc, the UBO Inter-Continental Middleweight champion, improved his record to 7-2 (5) when he made a quick return on July 30 in Islamabad, Pakistan, stopping local Yameen Khan in two rounds.

The 34-year-old Romanian had won the UBO title only twelve days earlier in the same city with a unanimous decision over Hassan Ghani.

📌 Reigning UBO world Super Middleweight champion Vladimir Georgiev returned from injury with a six-round unanimous decision over tough Romanian Mykola Vovk (16-8, 10 KOs) on July 18 in his birth-city of Burgas, Bulgaria.

Georgiev is now 15-4 (3), and is expected to make his first UBO world title-defense before the end of the year.

📄 Wyatt Trujillo Secures Second UBO Title.

- Undefeated 22-year-old Wyatt Trujillo added the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (North America) Super Middleweight title to his collection on Saturday night, August 22.

Already the UBO Youth champion, and a former WBF Intercontinental and WBC Latino title-holder, Trujillo defeated co-challenger Luis Miranda at the Parque de la Industria in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

In front of a sold-out crowd, it was one-side with Trujillo in control, knocking Miranda down in round two before making the Chilean retire on his stool before round three, claiming vision problems.

It was likely a matter of time anyway before Trujillo would find a way to get the stoppage, and he is definitely ready for sterner opposition than what Miranda was able to provide.

A pro for almost exactly two years, Trujillo is now 18-0 (14). Miranda, coming off a loss in a WBA title fight in Argentina, drops to 9-2 (4).

The fight headlined a card promoted by Power Punch Promotions in association with Trujillo Promotions.
