📄 Kenan Guzel Wins UBO Inter-Continental Title In Istanbul.

- Kenan Guzel is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Super Middleweight champion after winning the vacant title on Sunday, June 14, at the Bostanci Show Center in his home-town of Istanbul, Turkey.

In the main event of a show promoted by Tunal Academy in association with Dream Boxing, broadcast live world-wide on the Global Home of Boxing DAZN, Guzel defeated Uzbekistan´s Edem Zeyraliyev after an intense and entertaining, although anticlimactic, encounter.

Guzel entered the fight with his back against the wall, as he had lost his previous bout, a WBA Asia title fight in Thailand this past April, and would see his career in a bad spot with another defeat.

But it was Zeyraliyev who started the fight best, as he controlled the action with his jab in the first round, landing to both body and head.

Guzel started to find his mark in round two, and, while it was closely contested, he slowly shifted the momentum in his favour.

In round four Guzel landed a huge left hook, sending Zeyraliyev to the canvas. Most would not have been able to get up, but the brave Uzbek did, and managed to get through the round, despite Guzel trying his best to finish the job.

Unfortunately round five turned out to be the last round, as Zeyraliev was cut over the right eye after an accidental clash of heads. The fifth round was completed, but the bout was halted before round six, and went to the scorecards.

All three judges scored it for Guzel, making him the winner by Technical Decision, as he improved his record to 7-1 (5). Zeyraliyev drops to 6-2 (5).

📄 Sebastiano Argiolas Still UBO International Champion.

- On Saturday night, June 13, in Narcao, Italy, Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Super Welterweight champion Sebastiano Argiolas made a successful first defense of his title.

Facing fellow Italian Simone Buremi, Argiolas had to dig deep against a determined and talented challenger who showed from the start that he had come to win.

It was a grinding fight for both boxers, but the champion had more success in the exchanges and his superior experience often helped him edge the close rounds in his favour.

After a competitive fight it went to the cards, with judges Piero Atzorio, Angelo Brioccia and Eleonora Zanzi scoring it 77-75, 78-74 and 79-73, all for Argiolas.

Argiolas, who had won the title last December, improved his professional record to 11-1-1 (5). Buremi drops to 6-2 (1), but will have learnt a lot from the experience and can come back even stronger.

Broadcast live in Italy by SKY TV, the fight was the main event of a show promoted by Bazooka Events.

📄 It´s Ajito vs. Reyes Torres For UBO World Title, July 11 in Peru!

- When Peruvian hero Eduardo Ajito (25-2-1, 13 KOs) fights for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Flyweight title on July 11 in his home-town Callao, his co-challenger will be experienced and accomplished Mexican Eduardo Reyes Torres (18-5, 8 KOs).

While Ajito is entering his first world championship fight, Reyes Torres has one previous on his resume, sort of, as he lost a twelve round decision to undefeated Dominican Erick Rosa for WBA Gold world honours in 2024.

The 29-year old from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, entered the paid ranks in 2015, and was 13-1 when he defeated current WBA and WBO world Light Flyweight champion Rene Santiago for the WBO NABO title in April of 2022.

In January of 2023 he lost a WBO world title eliminator to another Puerto Rican in Oscar Collazo, who is now the reigning WBA/WBO world champion at Minimumweight, so Reyes Torres has been in with some of the best.

He will have no hesitation travelling to Peru for his second world championship opportunity, confident that Ajito brings nothing he has not seen before.

Mexico is among the countries with most professional boxing world champions in history, but if Ajito is successful, in what is the first world championship bout in Peru since 2014, he will be only the third world champion from his country.

📄 History In Chile! Marcial Carrion UBO World Welterweight Champion! - Marcial “Chay” Carrion made Universal Boxing...

📄 History In Chile! Marcial Carrion UBO World Welterweight Champion!

- Marcial “Chay” Carrion made Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) history on Saturday night, June 6, when he won the vacant UBO World Welterweight title by narrowly defeating excellent Argentinian Tomas Irusta in Iquique, Chile.

Twin brother Patricio Carrion is the reigning UBO world Super Lightweight ruler, and its the first time two brothers win UBO world titles. Being twins, and holding the world titles at the same time, makes it even more special.

But Carrion had to work very hard for it, as Irusta had come to win and put on a great performance. It was two warriors ready to go through fire to become world champion in front of a lively crowd outdoors at the Arena Cavancha.

Both boxers had their moments in the fight, and it was back and forth from round one through round twelve, with many of the rounds close, and with the crowd on their feet cheering and paying tribute to the men entertaining them in the ring.

After twelve fast-paced and exiting rounds, judges Victor Ramos and Francisco Buguento both scored it 115-113 for Carrion, while judge Mario Rojas had it all even at 114-114, making it a Majority Decision for the home-man. Its fair to say it was one who could have gone either way.

The new UBO World Welterweight champion improved his professional record to 22-1 (6), while Irusta suffered his first defeat and drops to 9-1-2 (3). The Argentinian proved his worth in every way, and a rematch would be deserved and should be a real possibility.

The fight headlined a card promoted by TC2 Boxing.
