As all of you well know, we’ve been on hold for a while waiting for a final decision regarding the presence of our event at the games of 2024.
As of now we’re still waiting, but there’s a glimmer of hope, since a new proposal was submitted to the committee.

The IOC still hasn't made a decision about the Mixed Offshore event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The other two sailing categories - Kiteboarding and Dinghy - have been approved though!
Seems we'll have to wait until May 2021 to get confirmed!

We have some news: there are NO NEWS! The International Committee met on Monday to approve the new sailing classes which will take part to the Paris 2024.

The Mixed Kiteboarding and the Mixed Two Person Dinghy will feature at the Paris 2024 Olympic Sailing Competition. 

What about the Mixed Two Person Offshore Keelboat? 
The IOC said they would like to further review this specific event. The decision will be made as soon as possible, no later than the 31st of May 2021.

Abbiamo news: NON CI SONO NEWS! Il CIO si è riuscito lunedì scorso per approvare le nuovi classi di vela che parteciperanno alle Olimpiadi di Parigi 2024. 

Le categorie del Mixed Kiteboarding e il Mixed Two Person Dinghy sono state confermate.

E invece per il Mixed Offshore?
Il CIO ha deciso di prendersi più tempo per confermare la nostra categoria. Purtroppo ci occorre aspettare un pò, ma sapremo con certezza entro maggio 2021.

Chilled weekend for us, but big start of the week ahead. On Monday the 7th we will know what the International Olympic Committee decides about our category.

December is a big one for us. There’s a lot of food, wine, and family time involved, yes. But it’s also the decisive month for Big Wool, as the International Olympic Committee will be deciding whether to introduce the mixed offshore category to the Olympics 2024 or not. The official deadline is 31/12 but we should get news earlier than then.

We definitely know what we’re going to be asking for Christmas this year 😏.

Dicembre è un mese importante per noi. Sicuramente il tanto cibo, vino e tempo in famiglia aiutano. La verità peró è che sarà il mese decisivo per Big Wool. Infatti il CIO deciderà se introdurre o meno la categoria mixed offshore alle Olimpiadi 2024. La deadline ufficiale è fissata per il 31/12 ma ci aspettiamo tutti novità prima di allora.

Noi di certo sappiamo cosa chiederemo per Natale quest’anno 😏.
