Golf World hefur gefið út sinn árlega lista, „Top 100 X-Factor Courses World“, og núna á listanum 2026 er Golfklúbbur Brautarholts í glæsilegu 16. sæti.
Völlurinn hefur áður verið á listum hjá Golf World síðustu ár, en árið 2025 var Brautarholt í 4. sæti yfir „Top 100 X-Factor Courses Europe“ og er jafnframt í 61. sæti yfir bestu og fallegustu golfvelli Evrópu hjá þeim.
Það er okkur afskaplega mikill heiður að komast inn á þennan heimslista. Þetta er stór viðurkenning, ekki aðeins fyrir Brautarholt heldur íslenska golfíþrótt í heild sinni, og ber vitni um þau miklu gæði sem íslenskir golfvellir hafa upp á að bjóða í dag.
Á listanum er að finna marga af frægustu golfvöllum heims og það er stórkostlegt að Brautarholt fái að deila sviðinu með þeim.
Golf World has released its annual list, the "Top 100 X-Factor Courses World," and on the 2026 ranking, Brautarholt Golf Club holds an impressive 16th place.
The course has previously been featured on Golf World's lists in recent years; in 2025, Brautarholt ranked 4th on the "Top 100 X-Factor Courses Europe" and is also currently ranked 61st among their best and most beautiful golf courses in Europe.
It is an incredible honor for us to make this global list. This is a major recognition, not only for Brautarholt but for Icelandic golf as a whole, and it serves as a testament to the exceptional quality that Icelandic golf courses have to offer today.
The list features many of the most famous golf courses in the world, and it is fantastic that Brautarholt gets to share the stage with them.
