2 years ago I opened the doors to REYR Studio. At the time I felt the need for a space that would have the flexibility to offer teachers and facilitators a place to host their own events and workshops — without the strict structure of a studio setting.
Over these past 2 years we've hosted a great variety of courses, workshops and events, from one-day-workshops to teacher trainings. REYR has become a place for teachers to try out new ideas, and for others to take the next step.
There have been a lot of changes in Reykjavík's studio scene these past months, which led me to start an open schedule with weekly classes at REYR. 3 teachers, all with many years of experience behind them, have teamed up with me and together we shaped 5 different class concepts — each given the space to bring in their strength and experience to make the schedule what it is, a wholistic and well-rounded schedule.
The open schedule gives people consistency, the chance to come back every week and build a consistent practice.
REYR Studio is still a space for people to thrive, both for teachers and students.
