What a whirlwind World Cup it was! Not everyone would be proud to rank 39 of 48, but for a team from a tiny country in the middle of the Atlantic, we're incredibly proud. Thank you to everyone who put their blood, sweat (omg, so much sweat), and tears into making the event all that it was. To the friends new and old, the lessons learned, and each single hard-fought point we earned. Thank you from every single one of us silly geese.

Roller derby is a grassroots sport, and we couldn't make big events like the World Cup happen without a little help from our friends. Thank you to VR Verktakar and Olís for their sponsorship. Without them, we could never have come as far (or ordered merch, so if you like our stuff, you can thank them too). And of course, a huge thank you to the local Icelandic derby league Derby Iceland for taking on so much of the administration and hosting of Team Iceland's day-to-day needs. One important part of being on a team is having matching uniforms. Thanks to and , Team Iceland has just that! We are incredibly grateful to Hagkaup for sponsoring our home team, Ragnarok, with food for our local games. And when we announced our intent to attend World Cup, they stepped up and helped sponsor our Skate Good jerseys! Without their support and Skate Good Club's fantastic manufacturing, we'd have to skate in those overly warm lopapeysur. Takk fyrir!
