Week one is over and we move into week two. The Allies have pushed forward with XII Corps and ### Coprs with VIII Corps still stuck in the starting tracks. But the Paras and Airborne have had great success. Securing both Boxmeer Bridge and Mass-Waal Canal Bridge and isolating the defenders at Nijmegen and Nijmegen Bridge and securing the area south of Arnhem.

But all is not good news. Heavy concentrations of troops are on the way from Kleve incl, heavy tank support. All is in the balance, even with more airdrops, but the supply run was intercepted by the German fighter aces, leaving the Paras without the much needed supplies.

Starting 1.September this Autumns online firestorm campaign will kick off. Fight the battles of Operation Market Garden, firestorm campaign and help the Allies end the war before Christmas or help the Axis stop the advance into the Fatherland.

This time I have teamed up with https://bf-companion.com/ to run it through their campaign site. So have a look and sign up. It works like previously. Each turn last one week. There is a set number of battle arrows each turn, but you can play as many games as you want in these battles.

When a turn is over the two sides Generals, will move around firestorm troops, supply the cut of paratroopers and allocate reinforcements. I will update the map, with areas shifting hands and you the battlefield commanders can pick new areas to attack.

Starting with the 5 StuG’s , I went with a reddish camo scheme. Masked, then a layer of rotbraun and highlight with tan, losely trying to hit the same highlight places as the dunklegelb.

Next project is a new army for our Market Garden firestorm online event kicking’s of 1st of September and running 5 weeks, with each campaign turn lasting a week.

I have dug out some 2nd hand models of old battlefront resin. 5 StuG’s and 3 Jagdpanthers that have been stripped of the old paint and together with a new resin and plastic Jagdpanther and 4 new plastic wirbelwinds, they have gotten the basic modulation with dunklegelb before I move onto the camo schemes.

The plan is to be done with these around campaign start and then add on other elements as we play through the campaign.
