Vodafone Istanbul Eurasia Marathon is in the Gold Label Again

This year, the Eurasia Marathon was awarded to the gold label again by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Eurasia Marathon, which has run in the silver label for the last three years, entitled to the Gold Label from next year as a result of the successful organization of the 33rd Intercontinental Istanbul Eurasia Marathon.

This year, the successful organization was evaluated from beginning to end by Mr. Sean Wallace who is an authority for the title categories in the IAAF. After the formal application was made through the IAAF Application Form, the Vodafone Istanbul Eurasia Marathon was accepted as the gold label by IAAF.

Hence, the Gold Label, which is given to the most successful organization by IAAF, was given to second times the Vodafone Istanbul Eurasia Marathon this year.
Gold Label

IAAF Race Label Events are annual running competitions which have been accepted acknowledging by International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) as being among the foremost competitions of their type. These annual races are divided into three categories including gold, silver and bronze label. Furthermore, these races are divided into three types such as marathon, half marathon and 10K. The best races are awarded the Gold Label according to IAAF criteria.
