Like any other water sports accessory you will need to ensure you have proper instruction and safety gear before attempting to use the Flyboard. The equipment is simple and easy to use once you have learned the basic techniques for flying. Let us try to explain how this product works. First of all, the Personal Water Craft (PWC) provides all of the propulsion for the Flyboard. Any PWC having 100 h
orsepower or more can be used. We have seen Yamaha, Seadoo, and Kawasaki brands all used successful. The thrust from the PWC is routed through a long hose up to the Flyboard where a rider can divert and control that thrust to create any type of movement he/she desires. Using a set of unique and Patented adapters, inventor Franky Zapata of Zapata Racing, turned an ordinary watercraft into a Water Sports sensation. All of the thrust developed from the PWC is routed through a 180 degree adapter and into the hose. The hose is attached to the Flyboard so the PWC just follows behind the rider in trail giving you the freedom to go anywhere, even underwater. The Flyboard has its own buoyancy and therefore floats on the water allowing the rider more safety and easier time in the water prior to start. Be sure to watch all of our videos on our homepage to see how this really works. To sum this up, you can fly over the water, under the water, and have complete freedom to fly freestyle without the risk of getting hurt. We can assure you that the Flyboard is extremely SAFE. We have many options for anyone who would like to buy or try the Flyboard. The Flyboard package consists of an adapter plate (specific to your PWC model), thrust diversion adapter, hose, Flyboard jet manifold, the base board, flotation modules, wakeboard style bindings/boots, hoses and arm thrust extensions. The Flyboard is a board like a wakeboard one brightens up with two pipes which, linked to a Jet-ski turbine with a 18 meters pipe, allows its user to highs up to 10 meters from water. The nozzles under the feet ensure 90% of the propulsion. Optional use is the two pipes fixed on the forearms’ user give two water jets, which insure a perfect equilibrium as ski poles. On the Flyboard 2013, the Pro-rider version is included; the hand stabilizers can be removed and replaced by a plug. Beginners will not be required to train with hand stabilizers. The height that can be reached depends from on the PWC horsepower. With a 150HP, the Flyboarder can already highs up to 5 or 6 meters and with a 250HP, the user will use the maximum pipe length that is 10 meters. The Flyboard can be used alone or at two-users. At two users with one person on the PWC who controls the propulsion while the second flies on the Flyboard. Alone thanks to an optional electronic kit that allows to control the throttle from the Flyboard. With a throttle placed in the right hand. Indeed, the Electronic Management Kit is connected to the PWC with a cable that gives the user the commands. There is a new Electronic Kit adapted to the Flyboard Pro-rider’s version 2013!
