For the first time ever, Yavatmal proudly hosted the 1st Yavatmal International FIDE Rapid Rating Chess Tournament, marking a historic milestone for the district.
The grand event was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Mr. Kumar Chinta Sir, along with Mr. Ravi Singhaniya, Mr. Pradip Jatkar, and Chief Arbiter Mr. Pravin Thakre, Mr. Jeevan Patil YDCA President , Mr. Mohan Kelapure YDCA secretary
With a record-breaking 546 participants from 60+ cities, 6+ states, and 1 international country, including 174 international-rated players, the tournament achieved true national and international stature.
🏆 Tournament Champion:
IM Akash Sharadchandra Dalvi (Thane) emerged as the winner with an outstanding performance, showcasing top-class international chess.
