"PIFA Foundation for the Benefit of Sports” - to help less privileged youth in India develop as f

The Foundation sponsors underprivileged children and young adults and develops them into good football players by:

- providing them appropriate football gear (kit, shoes, shin pads),
- providing daily food and travel allowance,
- supporting the families with ration so they don't encourage their children to work,
- teaching a life skill (coaching, administration, marketing) to make them independen

t, guiding and counseling them,
- empowering them to stand up against abuse, and
- providing them opportunity to be selected for the state / club teams and secure employment.

Our GK Payal Bhasude has gone on to play for the Indian Senior Women's team in 2024-25.

Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, was also a passionate football enthusiast.

During his time in South Africa from 1893 to 1915, Gandhi founded the Passive Resisters Football Club to promote non-violent resistance against racial injustice. This pioneering move used sports to unite people and fight discrimination.
