Creativity Meets Nature at STEM Summer Camp!

The Real-Leaf Sunflower Craft Activity at Government Senior Secondary School, Saidpur, brought together learning, creativity, and the beauty of nature in a truly engaging way. More than 20 students enthusiastically participated, using real leaves to create stunning sunflower crafts while exploring their artistic talents.

The activity encouraged students to think creatively, work with natural materials, and express their ideas through hands-on learning. Their excitement, focus, and eagerness to participate reflected the spirit of curiosity that makes STEM education so impactful.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate the power of education in creating a sustainable future. Environmental awareness begins in the classroom, where students can explore real-world challenges and discover how their actions can contribute to a healthier planet.

India's First Environment & Sustainability Lab provides schools with an engaging platform to introduce students to key themes such as Water Conservation, Waste Management, Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Sustainable Living through hands-on STEM learning experiences.

By connecting scientific concepts with everyday environmental issues, the lab helps learners understand sustainability challenges and explore practical solutions. Aligned with SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land), it aims to foster environmental awareness and responsible decision-making among young learners.

Turning Curiosity into Knowledge!

The Puzzle Map of India activity at Government Senior Secondary School, Saidpur, brought together 20 eager learners for a fun-filled STEM Summer Camp session. Through this engaging activity, students explored India's geography while participating in a collaborative and interactive learning experience.

Working as a team, students carefully identified and placed different states on the map, strengthening their geographical knowledge and enhancing important life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. The activity created an atmosphere of excitement, discovery, and active participation.

Their passion for learning during the summer vacation was truly inspiring. Activities like these not only make education enjoyable but also help students build confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Understanding science becomes easier when students can observe and experience concepts firsthand. At Murari Lal Khatri GIC, Agra, students engaged with the Conductors and Insulators model in the Mini Science Centre Lab, supported by Gail Gas Limited, transforming a classroom lesson into an interactive learning experience.

The session began with the teacher explaining the fundamental differences between conductors and insulators, highlighting their importance in electrical circuits and everyday life. Students then observed a live demonstration using the working model, where they could clearly see how electricity passes through conductive materials while insulating materials prevent its flow. This practical approach helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world understanding.

The activity encouraged active participation, observation, and scientific inquiry among students. By connecting textbook concepts with hands-on experimentation, the session strengthened conceptual clarity, enhanced critical thinking skills, and fostered a deeper appreciation for science. Such experiential learning opportunities continue to make the Mini Science Centre Lab a space where curiosity is nurtured and learning becomes both engaging and impactful.

Empowering young minds through hands-on learning at KGBV, (East Singhbhum), Jharkhand!

Supported by Oerlikon Balzers Coating India CSR initiative, the classroom turned into an engaging learning space where students explored the fascinating world of plant and animal cell structures through interactive models and guided explanation by the teacher.

Instead of only textbook learning, students experienced science visually and practically, understanding how each cell functions, how plant cells differ from animal cells, and why these tiny units are the foundation of all living organisms.

Such experiential learning approaches are helping students build curiosity, improve conceptual clarity, and develop a stronger interest in science education.

Together, we are nurturing future scientists by making learning more meaningful, interactive, and impactful.
