Bairath town is the site of the ancient meditation centre where Emperor Ashoka came to learn Vipassana meditation.

It is here that he transformed from Chanda Ashoka to Dhamma Ashoka under the guidance of the Ven Upagupta

It was here that Ashoka launched his campaign to transform India and rule it in accordance with dhamma.

King Ashoka sent Monks to Burma & Sri Lanka, and thus sowed the seeds for its return to India after 22 Centuries.

Aiming to get land & Build a Memorial & Centre at this wonderful site.
