OUR STORY – DESTINY BREAKERS:

Destiny Breakers Crew (db crew) is the first dance crew to introduce Hip Hop & Bboying (Break dancing) to Vizag city. The crew was formed in 2011, with a mission to serve the youth and young adults with the powerful tool of creative expression i.e. After years of practicing, performing and competing at many local and national level events, “db crew” found its name

in all major newspapers, magazines and news channels. In our years of practice, we realised that Dance is much more than performances and competitions. Therefore we started organizing free workshops to educate the local youth on the art of creative expression, positive alternatives, healthy living and positive hip hop culture. And that’s one of the main reasons we have such a vibrant Hip Hop dance scene in the city today. Our professional dance teaching career started in 2015, when we opened our first dance studio in MVP Colony (Nirvana Yoga Atelier) called “Dance Classes by db crew”. Through Dance, we wish to instill significant life skills that build passionate, confident and hard-working individuals who have the courage to persevere through any endeavor. In the long run, we hope our teachings will come full circle, and our students will become teachers and lead the next generation to do the same. You may find our work on:

🔸 Oct 31, 2021: Represented Andhra Pradesh as State Official & Senior Coach at the 1st National Breaking Championship, alongside my student Bgirl Shreya, who made it to the Top 16 in the Bgirl category 💯

🔸 Jun 4, 2022: My student Shreya made history, competing at RedBull BC One India Finals as one of the first to qualify from Andhra Pradesh 🔥

🔸 Jun 10, 2022: Founded the DB Breakdance Association of Visakhapatnam, an official body for Breaking (DanceSport) in Vizag 🛡️

🔸 Dec 29, 2022: Represented Andhra Pradesh as State Official & Senior Coach at the 2nd National Breaking Championship in Tirupati, with Shreya making it to the Top 8 (Quarterfinals) in the Bgirl category 🥳

🔸 Jan 13, 2023: My student Chaitanya won the Solo Kids Breaking Category at the Original Streetdance Championship in Chennai 🏆

🔸 Oct 21, 2023: My student Aakanksha placed Runner-up at the Circle Masterz x Hip Fest 2023 in the Solo Kids Breaking Category in Bangalore 🏆

🔸 Dec 10, 2023: Represented Andhra Pradesh as State Official & Senior Coach at the 3rd National Breaking Championship in Bhopal, with Shreya securing National Bronze (Senior Bgirl) and Aash*ta securing National Bronze (Junior Bgirl) — our first-ever National medals in Breaking 🇮🇳

🔸 Jun 29, 2024: Represented Andhra Pradesh again as State Official & Senior Coach at the 4th National Breaking Championship in Chennai, with my students Dhriti winning Gold (Junior Bgirl) and A***n winning Bronze (Junior Bboy) — first-ever Gold and Bronze medals in these categories for Andhra Pradesh! 🥇🥉

🔸 Aug 23, 2024: Became a certified International Breaking Judge from Dance Adjudication Network (D.A.N.) in the Threefold Judging System 🎓

🔸 Sept 28, 2024: Represented as the official for Team India, alongside my students A***n and Chaitanya, at the WDSF World Youth Breaking Championship in Wuxi, China 🌍

This journey has been possible because of the unwavering support from my family, my amazing students, and their parents. Your belief in me has been a constant source of inspiration. I can’t thank you enough 💛

Japan has truly made its mark this year, taking home the gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics and winning 3 more medals at the World Youth Championship! 🏆

Team India 🇮🇳 @ WDSF World Youth Breaking Championship 2024 (Wuxi, China) 🏆

Chaitanya & A***n from Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), and Aarathana & Prem from Madurai (Tamil Nadu) —made history as the first Breaking Athletes from India to compete in the Youth category. Facing over 250 athletes from 42 countries, they showcased remarkable talent and determination 💯

This experience has been invaluable for them, and I have no doubt they will continue to grow and excel in the future 🚀

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Amateur DanceSport Federation of India (ADSFI) and General Secretary Mohanty sir for choosing me as the Team Official, allowing me the incredible honor of representing Team India. Your support has been instrumental, and I am truly grateful for your trust in me 🙏

With the next generation of Bboys and Bgirls emerging in India, the future of Breaking looks bright, and I am excited to be part of this journey 🤩👍
