Asagi Caglar (sup. + Inf.)
Cold, but great conditions in this beautiful canyon. Icy cold water, but still lucky to have it flowing this time of the year.
Fun inferior part with a few nice jumps - as long as you can handle the brain freeze after 🥶

Yesilköy (inf. + sup.)
A beautiful white marble/limestone canyon, with some fun potholes to climb out again. It was opened last year by who told us about a potential superior part.
There was indeed a short, but fun superior part. It's a perfect extension to the inferior part and we where lucky to have a bit of flowing water in this superior section, which offered some fun jumps and slides. The water dissepeared in the inferior par, but some clear standing pools made some of the potholes a bit easier to escape.

Türkiye '26 🇹🇷 - Ötekoy (sup).
An amazing canyon in these conditions. Often dry, but this time of the year we where lucky with a beautiful flow. Icy cold water, but beautiful pools, some jumps and slides. The colour of the rock seems to transform from grey to a more brownish colour after drying out.
Very continuous and great fun!
Thank you for the tip!

Guver - Türkiye '26
Great freehanging entry abseil into the abyss. Due to the waves created by the big amount of water rumbling down, it wasn't easy to take a steady picture.
A beatiful horizontal gorge follows after this with some downclimbing, walking and swimming in a great environment. And with pleasant water temperatures for a change 😍

Türkiye '26 - New opening.
First descent of Indere canyon at Yazir village.

Thank you for making us look this direction. It was a beautiful suprise we didn't expect to find undescended in this region.
Probably not often with water, but our timing was perfect with the little snow on the plateau above starting to melt. We got beautiful emerald pools with very cold water in return.
Some small jumps and slides accompanied by a few bigger abseils, with the beautiful dark 60m abseil being the highlight of this descent.
Second descent and better equipment placed already by .

Lucky to catch these conditions in a usually 'dry' canyon. Very continuous and beautifully shaped.
Thanks to for the tip, we most probably would not have chosen this one ourselves ;)

Türkiye 2026 🇹🇷
Kaputaş Kanyonu - first one to start our canyoning trip in Türkiye. After some walking a very continuous canyon follows. 34 drops in total. Great flow to make it a fun descent. If you aim your timing correctly you can finish with a beautiful sunset on the Kaputas beach, where the canyon streams into the sea.
Thanks you
for collecting a lot of info in the topo of the Turkish canyons!
Thank you for all the accurate updates from the previous weeks.
Thank you and for all the info regarding newly opened canyons and potential projects! travel

Expedition Memories
Over our past 5 expedition in the Indian Himalays we've not only gathered experiences in undiscovered places. We also created lifelong memories with this thight group of friends!
They are countless to describe, but along the way we've made stories that we'll cherich for a long time. Countless evenings spend together, mostly accompanied by a glass of Old Monk, bringing us to a discussion or 2 about more then only canyons ;) Beautiful moments in the mountains, going to bed along a warm fire and great company! A journey on the Royal Enfield, which with times was more adventurous then the canyons itself. Sticking with eachother through some real scary moments.
We are not just a canyoning team, we put trust each other, rely on each other and mostly just have a great time together!

Son Gad (tributary) - V5A3V
Definitely the longest project of our '25 expedition in Uttarkashi. We were lucky to find an approach to this canyon. We where even more lucky that after returning full of scratches and sticky plants during 2 of the scouting days, a shepherd with his sheep passed by before our opening day. The path was all opened up and free of bushes because of them.
With help of 3 young porters we set up camp in slight rain and even some snow after a 4-5h hike. After a few attempts we luckily managed to make a fire to heat ourselves. A short nights rest followed and an early wake-up to start the long and continuous canyon ahead.
We started in the frost of the early morning with a slightly discoutinuous part filled with quite some branches and debris from previous floods. Luckily it was interrupted with some beautiful sections, but what waited ahead was fully worth all the effort. An amazing and super continuous second part brought us back to the collector river in +/- 7h. This part is a non-stop technical canyon where you move from rope to rope until you're at the bottom of the last 130m multipitch drop.
Big shoutout to the porters who waited another day on the campspot to have our second team in place in case of a emergency scenario. Luckily this wasn't need and they too could descent the canyon safely the next day!
In the end a total of 2 days with camping before the descent. 850m in height, 2km long, +/-45 drops. Collector river needs to be checked in advance, but is fairly easy to cross when payed attention.
Soon released in our upcoming topo of our combined expeditions in the Indian Himalayas!

Rudugaira Gad (med.) - V4A3III
A short, but amazing canyoning section in a huge river and gorge. The water is fed by the glaciers of Gangotri I-III and Jogin I & II (all above 6000m).
Descending in the flow is unpossible, so we had to find a safe line next to it. Still so amazing to see the inside with it's beautiful orange colours and amazing shapes formed by the power of the water.
These rivers, laying at the source of the Ganges river are believed (and proved) to hold antibacterial qualities, next to it's spiritual significance. The holi water, also referred to as "gangajal", is proved to remain clear and free from micriobial growth for years and not to decay easily. It has a high dissolved oxygen content, which allows it to remain 'alive' and self-purifying.
The specific composition of the "gangajal" might declare the orange colour that's left on the rock, which can also be seen on parts of the river, close to the temple.
There are still a superior and inferior part left to be opened. Both are short as the medior part, but intense and immensly beautiful. The inferior part has less water is part is taken by a powerplant, but it's very continuous and lot's of watermovement in the small pools. The superior part has a crazy first waterfall (with double jets), but falls into a very narrow section, which looked too dangerous at first. All are easy accesible with the Rudugaira peak trekking path, crossing the river.

Siyan Gad (Trib.) - V4A3IV
One of the longer projects we did this year. 850 height meter and an approach of +/-4h. We choose to try this project in 1 day as the canyon itself seemed pretty straightforward with some sections to overnight if needed. It took us 3 days of preparation: 2 trials for the approach and another day for the exit.
To access the canyon you have to descend another tributary first. Some beautiful freehanging abseils in this part, but the real canyon starts at the actual tributary river. Beautiful enclosement, nicely shaped waterfalls and a nice 120m waterfall close to the end.
There is an exit before the last 3 waterfalls, but if you don't take it a crossing of the Siyan Gad collector is needed. In the current condition this was pretty easy, but there are some gnarly points just after the point where the last 70m waterfall drops into it.
