WARM UP TO COOL DOWN
Looking for an exercise regime to get back in shape, but seems time consuming ? CORRECT?
But no matter what type of workout you chose, how busy you are on schedule-never miss a warm up before workout and cool down afterwards.
WARMING UP -
1. Prepares cardiovascular system for physical activity.
2. Increases blood flow and thus body temperature.
3. Warmup movements lessens strain on muscles, soreness while doing workout.
4. Improves performance.
5. Helps improve oxygen efficiency by doing dynamic low intensity exercises.
COOL DOWN-
1. Cool down stretches aid release and remove lactic acid to speed up recovery.
2. Reduces DOMS(delayed onset muscle soreness) to help prevent exercising in future.
3. Brings heart rate and blood flow to normal.
4. Helps signal brain a happy mood at the completion of even last step of workout.
5. Lower intensity exercises or static stretches are best recommended.
