Victory Achieved!

We are delighted to share that our incredible motorsport team, Team Meckartans, secured multiple titles in the FKDC Season 7 competition in Coimbatore from October 31st to November 2nd:
1. Runner up in overall FKDC.
2. Winner in Design and CAE.
3. Runner up in Autocross.

Our profound gratitude goes to our seniors for guiding and boosting our efforts in creating the MK-13 go-kart, enabling our team's unwavering enthusiasm at the competition. We're equally thankful to Chithra Kumar Sir, Our Staff advisor, for unwavering support, providing us with an incredible opportunity to showcase our skills in the thrilling FMAE-led student motorsport event co-presented by KCT. This experience not only offered invaluable exposure but also an unforgettable journey for us.

Team Meckartans, in collaboration with ASME SCTCE, has successfully organized another edition of 'Powerstroke', a two-day automotive workshop at Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, which took place on October 7th and October 8th, 2023.
This workshop saw the participation of 105+ students hailing across several colleges in Kerala. The event featured informative sessions covering topics such as aerodynamics, chassis, engine and drive train, brakes, and more.

Additionally, practical sessions were conducted, including engine disassembly, an overview of motors and batteries, and insights into go-kartsΒ andΒ buggies.

This workshop has gained tremendous positive feedback, earning participants a total of 16 KTU activity points.
