Review of TDSA Football League 2025

The TDSA Football League 2025 (Final Round) was held at TDSA’s newly renovated ground from 17th August to 6th September 2025 and witnessed tremendous enthusiasm from football lovers across the region.

A total of 9 teams participated, divided into two groups. Kakopother FCC topped Group A, while Barekuri RSA finished first in Group B. The grand final, played on 6th September 2025, turned into a classic contest. After the game ended 1–1 in regulation time, Kakopother FCC defeated defending champions Barekuri RSA 10–9 in a penalty shootout, thereby clinching the championship title for the 2025–26 season.

Total Goals Scored: 102 (Average 5.37 goals per match) – a remarkable scoring rate in modern football.

Disciplinary Records: 32 yellow cards and 3 red cards issued, reflecting firm control by referees.

Overall Arrangements

The TDSA ground, recently renovated, was in excellent condition with clear field markings. Adequate facilities were provided, including drinking water for teams and officials, as well as medical staff on standby throughout matches. Safety and security arrangements were commendable, ensuring smooth conduct of the tournament.

Attendance & Atmosphere

The league drew large, enthusiastic crowds to every match, highlighting the growing popularity of football in the district. The electric atmosphere in the stands added to the thrill on the pitch.
