🇮🇳 Vijay Amritraj, one of India’s greatest ever Tennis players, has been conferred with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour

Amritraj had earlier been honoured with the Arjuna Award (1974) and Padma Shri (1983) already

Amritraj’s achievements list is stellar:
✅ Highest ATP Singles Ranking of 18
✅ Led India to the Davis Cup final twice (1974 and 1987)
✅ Winner of 15 ATP Singles titles
✅ Two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist (1973 and 1981)
✅ Two-time US Open quarter-finalist (1973 and 1974)
✅ Exceptional commentator post his playing days
✅ Acted in legendary movies series like James Bond and Star Trek
✅ Now leading the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA) as President
