With profound sorrow and deep respect, the Monyul Super League (MSL) 2026 stands postponed as a mark of honour and condolence following the sad demise of Shri Sang Phuntsok, IAS (Retd.), a respected son of Monyul. The League will now commence on 10th September 2026 at Tawang. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may the Almighty grant strength and solace to the bereaved family during this difficult hour.

Arunachal Pradesh and Monyul mourn the sad demise of Shri Sang Phuntsok La, IAS (Retd.), former Deputy Commissioner of Tawang and Member of the Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta, who passed away in Delhi.

He was a distinguished administrator known for his humility, calm demeanour, accessibility and unwavering commitment to public service. During his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, he made significant contributions towards good governance, development and the welfare of people, particularly in the remote border areas.
For the people of Tawang and Monyul, he will always be remembered as a true son of Monyul who served with integrity and dedication.

On behalf of the Tawang District Sports Association (TDSA), we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones. May his noble soul rest in eternal peace, and may the family find strength during this difficult time.

Monyul Super League (MSL) 2026 – 2nd Edition

The first meeting of all participating Team Owners, Managers, and Captains will be held on 21 August 2026 at 1:00 PM at Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium, Tawang.
The meeting will focus on the latest updated rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), tournament regulations, and other important matters related to MSL 2026. Registration and renewal of teams/franchises will also be conducted on the same day.
Attendance is mandatory for all Team Owners, Managers, and Captains.

A Heartfelt Contribution from the People of Tawang 🙏

On the occasion of the second semi-final of the Merag Lama Lodroe Gyatso Independence Cup 2026, a donation drive was organised today at the Gyalwa Tsangyang Gyatso High Altitude Stadium, Tawang, by members of the Tawang District Sports Association (TDSA), led by Shri Tenzin Kee.
The donation drive was organised in support of Sister Thinley Dokar of Thrillam Village, Tawang. The people of Tawang and the spectators present at the stadium came forward with great generosity and wholeheartedly supported this noble cause.
A total of ₹1,75,175/- (Rupees One Lakh Seventy-Five Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Five only) was collected through the donation drive.
TDSA sincerely expresses its deepest gratitude and appreciation to every individual who contributed to this cause. Your kindness, generosity and compassion truly reflect the spirit of unity, humanity and community that makes Tawang special. 🙏
