I got this message from a Founder/Entrepreneur I am working with.

He said - Now there is nothing that's holding me back. Game ON!

He has been feeling stuck for the last 3 months due to an emotional & financial setback. Happens with the best of us.

That made him feel small, guilty, and afraid to share proudly about what he was up to. that was costing him -

in terms of SALES and profits, finding the right people, and finding future partners and collaborators for his business.

I AM HESITANT IN TALKING TO NEW PEOPLE

That's what one of my client called and told me from the hotel lobby...

He said,

"Yayati, I am at a live event and tonight we have the networking evening.

I went into the room and people are already standing in groups of 2-3 people.

I don't know anyone. So I came out. What do I do?"

I simply asked him to think a certain way -

"Imagine you're the host of the event, how would you act?

You would go to people introduce yourself and ask them about them"

I gave him the simple formula which I want to share with you as well - Be G.I.

G.I. - Genuinely Interested

If you'll be genuinely interested about other people, as a matter of reciprocity, they will also ask you about you and you build genuine connection."

And he went in there and started making connections and it so happened that he also got a client because he got genuinely interested.

Note - he didn't go to this event to get a new client and yet he found one. That's the power of coaching.

Imagine if he didn't have a Coach, he would go to the event,

stand on the side of the room and go back to his hotel room maybe talking to 1 or 2 people.

What I did with him is called Laser Coaching on the phone. I'm available for my clients not just during our sessions. I'm available for their life and that's why the title - Life Coach.

BUILDING UNSHAKABLE SELF-CONFIDENCE

What difference would it make in your life if you had unshakable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you put your mind to?

Determine What You Really Want

Just think: What difference would it make in your life if you had an absolutely unshakable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you really put your mind to? What would you want and wish and hope for? What would you dare to dream if you could believe in yourself with such deep conviction that you had no fears of failure whatsoever?

Be True to Yourself

The key is to be true to yourself, to be true to the very best that is in you, and to live your life consistent with your highest values and aspirations.

Take some time to think about who you are and what you believe in and what is important to you. Decide that you will never compromise your integrity by trying to be or say or feel something that is not true for you.

Have the courage to accept yourself as you really are not as you might be, or as someone else thinks you should be-and know that, taking everything into consideration, you are a pretty good person.

Make A Plan to Achieve It

Being true to yourself means knowing exactly what you want and having a plan to achieve it. Lasting self-confidence comes when you absolutely know that you have the capacity to get from where you are to wherever you want to go. You are behind the wheel of your life. You are the architect of your destiny and the master of your fate.

Use the “Act As If” Principle

Act as though it were impossible to fail. Act as though you already had a high level of self-confidence. And continually ask yourself, “What one great thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail?” Whatever your answer, you can have it if you can dream it, and if you have the self-confidence to go out and get it.

Action Exercises

Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, resolve to step out in faith in the direction of your dreams; just do it!

Second, ask yourself, “What one great thing would I dare to dream if I knew I could not fail?”

Third, be true to yourself, to the very best that is in you. Never compromise!

TAKING 100% RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE

If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings—everything! This is not easy.
Most of us have been conditioned to blame something outside of ourselves for the parts of our lives we don’t like. We blame our parents, our bosses, our friends, our co-workers, our clients, our spouse, the weather, the economy, our astrological chart, our lack of money—anyone or anything we can pin the blame on. We never want to look at where the real problem is—ourselves.
If you want to create the life of your dreams, then you are going to have to take 100% responsibility for your life as well. That means giving up all your excuses, all your victim stories, all the reasons why you can’t and why you haven’t up until now, and all your blaming of outside circumstances. You have to give them all up forever.
You have to take the position that you have always had the power to make it different, to get it right, to produce the desired result. For whatever reason—ignorance, lack of awareness, fear, needing to be right, the need to feel safe—you chose not to exercise that power. Who knows why? It doesn’t matter. The past is the past. All that matters now is that from this point forward you choose—that’s right, it’s a choice—you chose to act as if (that’s all that’s required—to act as if) you are 100% responsible for everything that does or doesn’t happen to you.
If something doesn’t turn out as planned, you will ask yourself, “How did I create that? What was I thinking? What were my beliefs? What did I say or not say? What did I do or not do to create that result? How did I get the other person to act that way? What do I need to do differently next time to get the result I want?”

Here’s an exercise that can help you do that. Answer each question as honestly as you can. It’s even more powerful if you have another person ask you the questions and hold witness to your answers.
1. What is a difficult or troubling situation in your life?
2. How are you creating it or allowing it to happen?
3. What are you pretending not to know?
4. What is the payoff for keeping it like it is?
5. What would you rather be experiencing?
6. What actions will you take to create that?
7. When will you take that action?
