⚽ Who Will Answer the Call of Kashmir’s Forgotten Footballers? ⚽
A Wake-Up Call to J&K Sports Council and the So-Called Guardians of the Game
While pomp, show, and franchise glamour dominate the synthetic turf of TRC Srinagar, the real soul of football in Jammu & Kashmir — our youth — is being systematically ignored.
🎭 Evening festivities and fashion shows have taken priority over what truly matters: the future of our young footballers.
After the U-19 National Football Championship 2025 quietly passed us by without a whisper, now the BC Roy Junior Football Championship and the Sub-Junior Girls National Championship 2025 are on the edge of being missed too.
⸻
🔴 Fact Check:
• The fixtures for the U17 BC Roy Trophy 2025-26 are scheduled for July 27, 29, and 31 in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.
• But here in J&K, not a single trial has been announced, no coaching camps held, no team selected.
• Young players eligible and desperate to prove themselves are being kept in the dark, growing more hopeless by the day.
⸻
👀 Where Are the Authorities?
The J&K Sports Council, rather than focusing on national representation, seems more interested in monitoring views and likes on social media, watching fashion shows at TRC Srinagar under the illusion of football promotion.
💰 Meanwhile, a money game is being played in the name of footballers.
Our so-called coaches, with full support from certain corrupt sports administrators, are busy minting money and misleading people — while ignoring genuine talent.
⸻
Once again, our youth are being sidelined. The spotlight is on glamour, not grassroots.
This is not just mismanagement — this is criminal negligence.
And it is the dreams and careers of our children that are paying the price.
⸻
❗ We Demand Immediate Answers:
📣 Will J&K send a team to the BC Roy Trophy 2025-26?
📣 Why were trials not held in time?
📣 Who is accountable for this silence and failure?
⸻
This is a call to every lover of football — rise, speak, and save the future of our game.
J&K deserves better. Our children deserve better.
