Kashmir Women's Collective A collective for women, mostly Kashmiri. An initiative to work towards a society where women feel safe and empowered in and outside of their homes.

This is a platform to share, to vent out, to fume and to build support and compassion from that anger, to channelize that passion for helping each other and the women of Kashmir, also the whole region of Jammu and Kashmir. Our solidarity is with women who suffer and fight, whether they are from India, Pakistan or anywhere else in the world. We condemn all forms of violence, discrimination and oppr

ession caused by patriarchy in multiple forms and ways. Let us share resources- articles, videos, narratives here. We can share any information on legal-aid, women's support groups/ngos and policies. We can discuss educational scholarships/job-listings for our women. We shall remember and share the work of women who inspire us and others. We will launch advocacy work, gender training and awareness workshops soon. Some of us are alraedy doing related work on ground but we decided to join hands and work as a collective. We are against all forms of violence against women in Kashmir, irrespective of who commits it. We are not here to please, appease or even hate anyone.

There's a huge identity, geography & lived experiences mentorship gap (ex gender mentorship gap) and therefore we have opened applications for the Postcards Mentorship.

This is a 6-month mentorship connecting people navigating careers in policy and allied fields with professionals who can offer strategic guidance.

We’re inviting applications from both *mentees and mentors*. This is a small pilot cohort, so we’re looking for people who are willing to engage seriously.

We especially encourage applications from individuals who may not always have access to such guidance, including those from:
*LGBTQIA+ communities*
*Persons with disabilities*
*First-generation backgrounds*
*Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, and marginalised communities*
*Economically disadvantaged backgrounds*
*Rural, remote, or conflict-affected regions*

The focus is on real decisions, understanding how systems work, and navigating professional spaces considering lived experiences, not editing or placements.
