JK Football Academy Commends the Visionary Leadership and Commitment of Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Lone
The Management of JK Football Academy, together with its coaches, grassroots footballers, parents, and well-wishers, extends its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Lone, Chairman and Owner of Lone Star FC, Lone Star Arena, and Chairman of the JKFA Revival Body, for his remarkable dedication and unwavering commitment to the promotion and development of football in Jammu & Kashmir.
As part of his continued support for grassroots football, Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Lone invited the players of JK Football Academy, Eidgah, to Lone Star Arena, where he personally interacted with the academy’s young footballers, especially the talented girl players, along with their parents. During the interaction, he encouraged the budding footballers to remain disciplined, work hard, and strive for excellence both on and off the field. To motivate and inspire the young athletes, a friendly football match for the girls was also organized on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Lone announced that Lone Star Arena, one of the finest football facilities in the Union Territory, would be made available every Sunday morning, free of cost, for the players of JK Football Academy, Eidgah, to conduct training sessions and football development activities. The announcement was welcomed with immense enthusiasm and appreciation by the players, parents, coaches, and the academy management.
The Management of JK Football Academy described this generous initiative as a landmark contribution towards strengthening grassroots football, particularly for the aspiring footballers of Downtown Srinagar (Shehr-e-Khaas), where access to quality football infrastructure remains limited. The management stated that such visionary support would create greater opportunities for young footballers and significantly contribute to the overall development of the game in the region.
Mr. Lone reaffirmed his commitment to promoting football across every corner of Jammu & Kashmir, with special emphasis on nurturing talent from Downtown Srinagar. He assured the football fraternity of his continued support in providing quality infrastructure, better opportunities, and a conducive environment for the next generation of footballers to excel.
On the occasion, the Management of JK Football Academy felicitated Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad Lone on assuming the responsibility of Chairman of the JKFA Revival Body. The management expressed complete confidence in his leadership, stating that his integrity, experience, vision, and sincere dedication would play a pivotal role in reviving the Jammu & Kashmir Football Association, addressing its long-pending issues, restoring transparency and accountability, and facilitating free, fair, and democratic elections in accordance with the Constitution of the Association and the applicable sports regulations.
