*Bandipora Clinches Title in U-17 Boys Inter-District Provincial Level Football Tournament*

Jammu, 30 April 2026: District Bandipora emerged victorious in the ongoing *_League of Classics_* Under-17 Boys Inter-District Provincial Level Football Tournament, securing a well-deserved win against District Kupwara in the final held at Jammu.

The prestigious tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu & Kashmir, witnessed participation from 20 district teams from across the region. The competition showcased exceptional talent, discipline, and sportsmanship, culminating in a high-intensity final where Bandipora outperformed Kupwara to claim the championship title.

The achievement has been widely appreciated, with due recognition extended to the dedicated efforts of the team management and officials. Special acknowledgment is given to the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, *Mr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat*, for his leadership and support. Commendation is also extended to the team coach, _Mr. Ishfaq Ahmad Dar_, for his strategic guidance and mentorship.

Further appreciation is accorded to the Activity In-Charges of DYSSO Bandipora, _Mr. Firoz-ul-Hasan Jan_ and _Ms. Andleeb Manhas_, whose consistent coordination and commitment contributed significantly to the team’s success.

*ZPEO Quilmuqam Conducts Grand Inter-Panchayat Block Level Trials Under _‘League of Classics’_ Youth Engagement Program*

The Zonal Physical Education Office (ZPEO) Quilmuqam today successfully conducted the Inter-Panchayat Block Level Trials under the banner of the *_League of Classics – Youth Engagement Program,_* featuring the disciplines of Football, Volleyball, and Cricket as part of the Mega Championship for Youth.

The large-scale sporting event witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of young athletes representing Block Aloosa, Block Banakoot, and the Municipal areas of Kaloosa and Bandipora. The trials were organized at NMBHSS Kaloosa for Cricket and Volleyball, while the Football trials were held separately at Ghazi Stadium, .

Despite the ongoing winter vacation and the event being held on a Sunday, officials from the Department of Youth Services and Sports remained present at the venues to ensure a transparent, fair, and merit-based selection process. Their dedicated presence and vigilant supervision underscored the department’s commitment to nurturing sporting talent at the grassroots level.

More than 500 students across Under-17 and Under-19 age groups participated in the initial screening trials across the three disciplines. The venues witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with young aspirants displaying exceptional zeal, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.

A comprehensive and systematic trial process, including skill assessment was conducted to identify the most promising players. The objective was to select the cream teams from each block in both Under-17 and Under-19 categories across Football, Volleyball, and Cricket.
The selected teams will now advance to represent their respective blocks at the upcoming Inter-Block Zonal Level Competitions, scheduled to be organized next week by the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Bandipora.
