first 3 weeks leading to Demotivation and Frustration. The Managers used to come on the field to showcase just their product knowledge and that display was called handholding by them. No One actually taught What is Sales, How to Sell, and Especially the Soft Skills Part which include Rapport Building, Presentation Skills and Body Language, How to Talk, Which Words to Make Sales Easy and Simple? And I am sure you agree with me on this, systems work, people fail. Thanks to my inner drive and enthusiasm to achieve incentives that pushed me to decode things on my own as I wanted to Buy my First Mobile Phone with my own money within a Time Line of only 2 months. Mobile Phone was a Luxury and not a necessity at that time but I had big dreams. When I started my first job there was nothing called Tele Sales, it was just Door to Door Sales without an Appointment. And I am sure you can understand how humiliating it is when people slam the door on your face. I am sure there are many like ME who did not get the right Sales Mentors and as such they always end up disliking Sales and many end up in operations or any back office job for a simple reason they simply do not enjoy the pressure and the targets. Whereas I took it as a challenge as I had a clear goal to buy myself a Mobile phone, it added fuel to the fire. And over a period of time, I only realized that Sales cannot be taken for granted or for that matter ignored. It is the Back Bone of any business. And I worked on my passion and transformed it into a rewarding and fulfilling career which led towards Achieving multiple Awards and Certifications in the Corporate Sector with various companies like 3 Global Services, Serco Group, Citi Bank, Barclays Bank PLC UK and Telstra Australia TCS (keep only 3 top companies) and starting my training and coaching enterprise training people on sales, leadership and soft skills.
