শিলচর তথা বরাক উপত্যকার বিশিষ্ট ক্রীড়া সাংবাদিক সঞ্জয় রায়ের প্রয়াণে আমরা গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করছি। শুরুর দিনগুলো থেকেই টেবিল টেনিস ক্লাবের চড়াই-উতরাইয়ের যাত্রাপথে এক নির্ভরযোগ্য সঙ্গী ছিলেন এই জনপ্রিয় ক্রীড়া সাংবাদিক।

তাঁর প্রয়াণে আমাদের ভরসার এক জায়গা শূন্য হল। আমরা তাঁর বিদেহী আত্মার শান্তি কামনা করছি এবং প্রয়াতের পরিবারের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা প্রকাশ করছি 🙏

The Table Tennis Club felicitated Hon'ble Minister Shri Kaushik Rai on the successful completion of his first year in the State Cabinet.

The event took place at the club's Indoor Sports Complex in Udharbond on Sunday, 1 February 2026.

It was an immensely encouraging occasion for everyone present when the Hon'ble Minister announced an allocation of ₹30 lakh to strengthen and upgrade the club's indoor facilities. This generous support will greatly benefit the sporting community, especially the table tennis fraternity in the region.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Kaushik Rai for graciously accepting our invitation and for his kind and substantial announcement.

The Table Tennis Club extends its sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister Shri Kaushik Rai for his gracious presence this morning at our Indoor Sports Complex. We are deeply thankful to him for his announcement to strengthen the infrastructure of the Complex. To mark the Republic Day, Table Tennis Club, Udharbond organised a Table Tennis Tournament with different events. In the evening, Prize Distribution Ceremony was held in the Indoor Sports Complex of the Club.

প্রাক্তন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী, বিজেপি দলের বর্ষীয়ান নেতা কবীন্দ্র পুরকায়স্থের প্রয়াণে গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করছে টেবিল টেনিস ক্লাব। ক্লাবের সঙ্গে এক ব্যতিক্রমী সম্পর্ক ছিল প্রয়াত কবীন্দ্র পুরকায়স্থের। ক্লাবের চ্যারিটেবল হার্ট কেয়ার সেন্টারের ভবন নির্মাণে সাংসদ হিসেবে তাঁর অবদান আমরা আজকের দিনে কৃতজ্ঞতার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করছি। বিভিন্ন সময়ে তিনি ক্লাবের পাশে থেকে খেলাধুলা সহ সামাজিক কাজে আন্তরিক উৎসাহ যুগিয়ে গিয়েছেন।

তাঁর প্রয়াণে বরাক উপত্যকার রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসে একটি যুগের অবসান হল বলে আমরা মনে করি। তাঁর বিদেহী আত্মার চির শান্তি কামনা করছি 🙏
