Different Players Playing for different Clubs at Various local Tournaments…These separate players all came under one Umbrella and Formed what came to be known as "Unified Gorkha Football Club". "Unified Gorkha Football Club" was formed on August 2005 and by 21'st December 2006 the club was registered as a full fledge Football club. Participating mainly at Local Community Tournaments, The Club gain
ed Popularity primarily because of the number of Titles the club has won, and under a short span of 5 years the Club has gained sizable popularity on the Local circuit. The members of this club, "Unified Gorkha" started out of the pure desire for the love of the game, but in the passage of time they felt it was necessary to pass on there skills to a young breed of football loving kids, there interest is evident on match days and when the team is practicing in the wee hours at the Local Ground. They came up with an idea of Coaching Camps for these kids in order to help them polish there skills. The First Ever Football Clinic under the banner, "Catch e'm Young" was started last year during the month of June, The Clinic got a good response when 40 odd kids turned up for a two day camp, they were taught the basics of the game and how they can improve on it, the club members joined in and acted as guides to these Kids. The First Camp was a success, based on this the Club members set forth to generate necessary funds so as to hold the next Camp. The response from the People have been promising as well, they have Donated funds and have helped with basic infrastructures as well. With the help of the people, The Second, "Catch e'm Young" Football Camp was recently held in the month of June. It was Primarily held during the weekends, so that the Kids could make time for this camp and show up, it carried on all four weekends of june and culminated on 28th june 2013. This Year the number of kids in attendance rose to 135, they were divided into two groups, one group consisted of under 6-10 age group and the other consisted of under 11- 14 age group, they were trained accordingly to their age group, they were also provided with football gears such as Football Jersy and Shorts along with other things, this was primarily possible because of the funds that were generated, and The Club Heartily Thanks everyone who Helped for the cause. Future plans for the Club is to take the Football Camp further, this they intend to do it by holding the camp every weekends, and by also taking the kids to play in one of the Practice Turfs at the main Football Stadium of the City, so as to give them Exposure at a very young Age, We would also make these kids participate in their respective age group tournaments so as to give them Match practice. For this to happen We at "Unified Gorkha" will make all necessary steps and ensure that this comes through.
