*GAME ON SPORTS ACADEMY, JAMMU, CELEBRATES VEER BAL DABIS WITH FOCUS ON YOUTH CHARACTER BUILDING THROUGH SPORTS*
JAMMU, Dec, 25, 2025:
The idea of organizing the Olympic Games, rooted in Greece in 1896, was envisaged to build character through physical education. Inspired by this very philosophy, and recognizing that India—the second most populous nation in the world—has a vast youth population requiring strong national character, sportsmanship, discipline, punctuality, and obedience, GAME ON Sports Academy, Greater Kailash, Jammu, organized a special sports celebration on the eve of Veer Bal Diwas.
On this occasion, Shri Paramjeet Singh Randhawa, Chairman, Tapeball Federation of India, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Addressing players, parents, and sports enthusiasts, he emphasized that every possible facility would be provided to promote sports across the nation so as to develop the overall character and moral strength of youth.
The Academy proudly acknowledged its national-level achievers who represented UT of Jammu & Kashmir in Tennis Ball Cricket National Championships. Amrit and Atharv represented J&K in the Under-17 category, while Yaseen Malik, a talented village youth, represented the UT in the Under-19 National Championship recently held at Agra. Their achievements were hailed as a matter of pride for the region.
The Academy also honored Veteran Shri Jagdev Singh for his valuable contribution to society with a token of love and respect. Shri Sohan Singh Ji, a senior citizen and former athlete, appreciated the consistent efforts of GAME ON Sports Academy in nurturing youth and promoting sports culture in the region.
The proceedings of the day were conducted by Shri Ashok Singh, former Divisional Sports Officer, who highlighted the importance of grassroots sports development and disciplined training.
A friendly Tapeball Cricket match between GAME ON Team and Rising Star Bishnah was underway at the time of filing this report, adding competitive spirit and enthusiasm to the celebrations.
Prominent personalities present on the occasion included Shri Sudershan Singh Jamwal, Shri Balbir Singh, Shri Vinod Singh Sambyal, Shri Rakesh Singh Charak, Shri Kuldeep Singh, Shri Raman Sharma, Shri Pardeep Kumar, and Ms. Asma Pathania, along with the Academy administration, players, and a large number of parents.
The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the commitment of GAME ON Sports Academy to youth development, national character building, and the promotion of sportsmanship in Jammu & Kashmir.
