Jammu District Tops 7th State Grappling Championship 2025 Held in Samba

Samba: The 7th State Grappling Championship 2025, organized by the Grappling Association of Jammu and Kashmir, concluded successfully at Indore Sports Stadium, Samba, with enthusiastic participation from across the Union Territory.

A total of 270 players competed in both GI Grappling and No-GI categories. Jammu District emerged as the overall champion, securing the 1st position, followed by Kathua in 2nd place and Samba in 3rd.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Verinder Singh Chib, who encouraged the young athletes and appreciated the efforts of the association for promoting grappling sports in the region.

The championship was managed under the leadership of Association members including Chanveer Singh (President), Akshat Gupta (Vice President), Guljinder Singh (General Secretary), Hariveer Singh, Bhanu Partap, Rajeshwa Singh, Sant Kumar (Joint Secretary), Rajat Sharma, Nishant, Sameer, and other members.
