Over the next 30 days, we build one simple yet powerful healing habit - DRINKING WATER CONSCIOUSLY!

We begin with a 20-minute orientation tomorrow on Sunday at 11 am, to understand how this process unfolds!

This initiative is inspired by hydration science, seasonal transition (Ritu Sandhi) and the understanding that water is not just hydration, but cleansing, healing and prana!

💧DM for the link to join.

Meanwhile, fill a glass of water and sip it like gold!

See you tomorrow 😊

DM to know more.

Our journey to Kedarnath Temple begins weeks before.

For 6 weeks, we prepare!
We build strength, train the breath, simplify through diet and daily rhythm.
We explore the psychology of listening because a true śrotā is one who becomes available, not just to sound, but to experience itself.

So when we arrive in Rishikesh and move towards Kedarnath,
the body is ready, breath is supportive,
the mind is quieter,
and something within is already listening.

The climb then is not a challenge.
It becomes a meeting between ancient myth and an experiential silence.

At Drashta, this is exactly how we work with silence. It emerges to be sustained, just the way it would like to live with us.

In response to repeated requests to rework on the time frame for Drashta due to the times we are experiencing in the world. We have created an opportunity to a 4-night Drashta retreat from April 10 to 14 🤲🏻

A different circle 🔴 of love.

Ma used to say, “Always keep your shoes in a line, be proper, and say namaste when you meet everyone.”

In the fullness of her voice, she reminded us to keep the red uniform ready for tomorrow’s event, she made sure the hair is neatly tied back.

Mothers.

Moving away from the world of stretchy pants and branded mats, on Women’s Day we stepped into a different circle of love. A love that is a red round belly and flexible pelvic bones, a circle that is a full, giggly smile beautified with the perfectly mismatched bangles.

In their presence, we were reminded of the quiet rituals we had grown up with, the simple routine of the bindi our mothers wore.
We were reminded of what it truly looks like when India practices yoga.

Yoga was never designed to 'fix' the body.

In traditional ashram life, the body was put into use through seva. Sweeping, cooking, building, carrying, serving. The body discovered its intelligence through usefulness, to oneself and to others. Functionality was lived, not trained.

After the body had served, yoga began not as therapy to fix, but as a refinement of the mind through a perfectly functional body.

At Seeking Yogi we make a sincere effort to remain true to the tradition and its intentions.
A teacher shares and guides, but the experience, the insight, the outcome always remain personal.

Yoga is never alone, a treatment plan for us.

Isn't it ironical we train our bodies for functionality?

Picture 1 - Cultivating action in thought. Climb the mountain, don't carry it.

Picture 2 - Read HEAD HEART AND HANDS by Swami Niranjanananda. It reveals to you the vast possibilities of yoga as a science, as a search. Continue to practice what you like, bend, fold, twist. Simply expand its meaning, widen the knowing.

Picture 3 - Thank you so much for the inspiration, for making us feel a little lighter.

Picture 4 - That's Swami Niranjanananda. While learning the true meaning of Guru. I feel shy, amazed and intrigued, and I hope you know what I mean. Google his name, a sanyaasi from the age of 4, he heads the Bihar school of yoga and is the author of the book HEAD HEART AND HANDS.

Quiet Power of Breath 🪶 🫁 - Part 1!

For 21 mornings, we arrived at 5:30 am and laid the foundation of a practice. We opened our minds to the science of prana and pranayama, touching upon sacred chapters that deserve a lifetime of study. Without rush we allowed the theory to breathe into us as a new language.

And then, by the grace of the Guru, we sat together in an intimate informal certificate ceremony, honoring the commitment.

It would be apt to say… now the course truly begins.

Balancing family commitments, personal responsibilities, showing up through resistance, doubt, attempting and trying again, stepping out of the comfort zone with log books, concepts, and neti, all of it was sadhana!

Now, as we continue reading together, reviewing practice week after week, the real strengthening begins.

I bow deeply to my friend and co-founder for her quiet support, to her humility and courage to become a student in her own space. . Your grace enriched the space more than words can express.
