Aliah University successfully observed the 12th International Yoga Day on 21st June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from the University community.

The programme was attended by the Hon’ble Registrar, Deans of Faculties, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, students, NCC cadets, sports personnel, and other stakeholders of the University. The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga, physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among the University community.

A total of approximately 200 participants actively participated in the programme and performed various yoga practices and exercises with enthusiasm. The celebration created a positive environment and reinforced the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The programme was successfully conducted with active cooperation and participation from all concerned, making the 12th International Yoga Day celebration at Aliah University a meaningful and successful event.

Aliah University Sports Board and Sports Club successfully organized an Inter-College Tournament featuring Football, Cricket, and Volleyball. Eighteen colleges and universities participated in this event, which was planned and executed within a remarkably short timeframe.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rafikul Islam, for his unwavering support. We also thank all distinguished guests, our Sports Board Chairman, Prof. Muklesur Rahman, Registrar sir all Sports Board members, faculty, students, and especially the Sports Club. Your dedication and support made this tournament a remarkable success.

This event not only showcased athletic talent but also fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participating institutions. We look forward to organizing more such events in the future to promote sports.
