Match: Semi Finals, CPL 2023 against Sunrisers Phoenix

In cricket often you are blessed to witness a game that leaves you spellbound. Boys played one such amazing game in this semis.

Having lost the toss we were asked to bat. Soon we realised that pitch was graveyard. With same length, ball would sometimes rise till shoulder and sometimes stay low. One of the most difficult pitch team had played this season.

We lost early wickets and it became difficult to stitch partnership. Only Abhinav from top order showed some grit and reached 2 digits. But, later it was Vikas again to team's rescue. To make 35+ on such a difficult pitch was 'experience'. Some hits later by Bhushi made us reach 110, a fighting score.

During break, sun came up and what was initially a graveyard became a very batting friendly deck. Seamers were surprised to witness such change in pitch behavior. Opponents kept cashing and made 60 odd for no loss and game kept slipping away.

In comes our spin duo. Karan and Vaibhav bowled in tandem, one of the finest spin bowling partnership of the season. They were economical and kept taking wickets, literally giving their all. Later it was that man again Vikas and Bhushi who bowled the best death overs of the season. With 18 remaining of the last 4 overs they bowled 11 dot balls in a row.

Last ball with 3 required opponents managed to sneak 2 and the match went on to super over. Everyone present on ground was speechless by our effort.

Phoenix made only 7 courtesy very fine over again by Bhushi. He opened batting with a 6. Took a single next ball but unfortunately we lost 2 wickets in the next 2, super over tied again.

Phew, the 2nd super over begun, Bhushi opened again and hit gigantic 6 of the 1st ball followed by a single. Pankaj's cover drive ensured we made good 14 runs. Bhushi had one of his best day as he defended 14 and gave only 7.

What a game, Bhushi the super hero, Karan very calm captain who kept believing, veterans who kept pushing the team and a unit that kept fighting to reach another final this season.

Boys put on a great show in every aspect of the game in a one sided victory by 6 wickets to reach semis.

Match Heroes:
1. Man of the Match: Pankaj Jinta

Pankaj had a great day behind the wickets. But had a greater day with the bat. After 2 early wickets he didn't let opposition crawl back in to the game rather played some counter attacking sweeps and lofts. In no time he took game away from opposition and compiled a very good looking 50.

2. Best Bowler: Sharon Thomson

What a day for Sheru. He took an exceptional bullet diving catch at mid off and then bowled a magical spell. He took 3 crucial wickets and 2 brilliant catches. In doing so he injured his knee. We hope for a speedy recovery. 💪💪💪

3. Best all round performance: .kale.90

Short of words what this man does on a regular basis for team. Batting, bowling, catching he ticks each box with exception of doing well in every game. Some of his shots over covers today were just aww.

Oher Notable Performance:
Shubham started well with new ball, took 2 wickets. Bhushi and captain bowled economical spells to restrict opponents to a minimal score.

Location: Barne cricket academy

Winning streak continues as boys registered their 12th straight win. This was the 2nd league match where team dominated in all departments for a one sided victory.

Match Heroes:
1. Man of the Match: Sangram Patil

Sangram played for us for the 1st time and made the most of it. His innings had numerous boundaries using wrists and glances. He contributed with a well compiled half century in no time and ensured team reaches 210+.
Superb knock.✌️

Other noticeable performances:

Earlier Hrishi played another eye pleasing knock and hit a magnificent half century. All the bowlers bowled extremely well and took wickets in regular interval to bundle out opposition cheaply.

1. Man of the Match: Bhushan Patil

Back to back MOM for Bhushi. What an asset for the team, what a bowler, what a hitter, what an all round player he is.

He took 2 run outs as well from.his bullet throw and a very important catch at deep. 💙

2. Best Batsman: Pankaj Jinta

Pankaj went on a crucial stage where team needed him to score big and score quick. Right from ball 1 he started toying with bowlers. Shots all around the park. 2 of his massive sixes went so deep in fields that umpires had to call for new balls. 😂

Superb stuff, what a great form he is in.

3. Best Bowler:

A very special player, his off breaks are just too much for every opposition. He took some very important wickets and kept creating pressure from his end. A magical spell. 👏👏👏

Bhushi started with his usual fiery spell where batsman were clueless what to do. He bowled economical and took wickets as well.
Later he made quickfire runs to push us on top of points table. An all round performance. 🙌🙌🙌

2. Best Batsman: Prem Naidu

Three best batsman award for Prem in a row. He continued his super form and made crucial runs in top order. 💪💪💪

3. Best Fielder: Pankaj Jinta
What an exception catch he took running in front, truly mesmerizing. Not just catches but stumpings and run outs as well. A true champ. 🙌🙌🙌

Winning streak continues as boys registered their 7th straight win.
In the tournament opener, boys thrashed Old Monks in a one sided Victory. Every one contributed with their skills to turn all 3 aspects of the game to our side. What a run boys!! 💪

Match Heroes:
1. Man of the Match: Abhinav Choudhary

Veteran was adjudged MOM for his blistering knock today which had some very fine shots on off side. It was a sight to behold. He added 109 runs in a match winning partnership with Ramdas. Super stuff.. 🙌🙌🙌

Nilay Sinha
Our blues star bowled some very tight lines which kept batsman guessing what to do. His top class spin bagged him 3 wickets. Very well bowled. 👌👌👌

Sharon Thomson
Ut didn't look like as if he was coming back after 2 years on a Cricket field. Super spell, took 2 crucial wickets at a critical stage. 👌👌👌

Vikas Kale

Giving match winning performances has become his daily routine. He took 3 wickets in his spell to bundle out opponent in a minimal score.

Back to back best batsman award for Prem. 41 of just 19 balls. His storm had 3 muscular skier sixes and 4 fours. He took charge in scaring the opponent from ball 1. Superb. 💪💪💪

What a day for Vikas. He hit stumps for fun. Economical, fast and unplayable. Eye pleasing spell from him which had 3 very important wickets. Long way to go sir 🙌

His super keeping skills and 3 back to back sixes not only had us awestruck but opponents as well. ✌️

Hitesh Mishra

Played very sensible for 1st wicket partnership and went kn to score 41. Gave a good platform to team to put down a good total.
