iGanpati believes in inviting Ganpati, who is widely worshipped as the God of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune, at home with full due respect. We want to provide a platform to do away with wrong practices being followed during Ganpati Festival. Eco-Friendly Idols – Promote use of eco friendly idols.
2. Respect to God – Do away commercialization, buy and sell of Idols.
3. Sculptor to Home –
Provide a platform to bring Idols direct from Sculptor to home.
4. Creating market for natural Mud idols – Encourage sculptors in creating Clay idols by way of giving direct access to Market. We provide Mud idols economical option as compared to PoP idols. Why prefer Mud Ganpati idols over PoP idols?
1. Origin - Ganpati was created from the dirt off Goddess Parvati's body. Therefore, it is only appropriate that the idol for worship should also be made from mud.
2. Eco-friendly - Clay idols disintegrate easily and are eco-friendly.
3. Respect to God – Since the clay idol disintegrates easily, it does not float in water after immersion. Just as one welcomes God with great respect, it is important that one also bids farewell in the same manner.
4. Not on Footpaths - Idols are placed on the footpath or roadside. The God we worship should never ever be disrespected by putting on roadside.
5. No Commercialization - God is not commodity which we should buy or sell on streets. We must invite God with full respect and never buy or sell God in form of Idols. The amount paid should be for the sculptor for his spiritual emotion that it is the satseva of Lord Ganesh Himself.
6. Immersion - Traditionally, the Ganpati Idols were sculpted out of earth taken from nearby one’s home. After worshipping, it was returned back to the Earth by immersing it in a nearby water body. This cycle represented the cycle of creation and dissolution in Nature. Pop takes much longer to dissolve and in the process of dissolution releases toxic elements into the water body.
