The eagle sits silently, its once mighty wings now folded, heavy with the unbearable weight of captivity. In its heart, the wild skies still cry out, calling it back to the heights where it was meant to reign. The freedom to soar above mountains and valleys, to ride the wind with effortless grace, now a distant, fading memory. It gazes upward at the sliver of sky beyond the bars, a cruel reminder of everything it has lost.

In this 20x20 cage, the eagle’s world has shrunk to a prison of metal and stone. Its wings, designed to span the heavens and conquer the winds, have no room to stretch, no way to test their power. The longing to rise high, to challenge the limits of the sky, gnaws at its soul. It dreams of the untamed wilderness it was born to rule, of the boundless horizon it will never reach. Instead, it is trapped—condemned to a life where its greatness will never be realized.

The eagle knows its fate. It will die here, not from the fierce trials of nature, but from the slow death of confinement. Each day, its spirit fades a little more, consumed by the bitter thought of dying without ever having truly lived. Its body may endure, but its soul is already withering, crushed beneath the weight of a destiny denied.

Freedom, once its birthright, now feels like a distant fantasy. As the days drag on, the eagle’s eyes grow dim, not from age, but from the despair of knowing it will never again taste the sky. It was meant to soar, to conquer the wind and the world beneath it. But in the end, it realizes the bitterest truth of all: it will never know what it was truly capable of, dying here, grounded, without ever reaching the heights it was destined for.
