Maharashtra’s highest state honor for excellence in sports — The 'Shiv Chhatrapati State Sports Award'— has been awarded to our outstanding athletes for their remarkable achievements in Sport Climbing

Mr. Sahil Ashpak Khan – Awardee (2022–2023)
Ms. Shreya Sanjay Nankar – Awardee (2022–2023)
Ms. Saniya Farukh Shaikh – Awardee (2023–2024)

The awards were presented today at Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Sankul, Balewadi, Pune by the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendraji Fadnavis and Honorable Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Maharashtra State and Guardian Minister Pune Hon. Shri Ajitdada Pawar and Hon. Shri. Eknathji Shinde Deputy Chief Minister Maharashtra State.

The Shiv Chhatrapati Award is the highest and most prestigious sports honor, presented annually by the Government of Maharashtra to outstanding athletes from the state, celebrating their dedication, excellence, and contributions to the field of sports..

Your passion and perseverance continue to inspire the entire climbing and adventure sports community.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Coaches Amol Jogdand, Mantu Mantri, Irfan Shaikh who have taken great efforts to train them throughout their journey.

The athletes were trained at Raje Shivaji Climbing Wall, Shivajinagar Gaothan, Pune run by Shri Shivaji Vyayam Mandal and Technically supported by Pimpri Chinchwad Mountaineering Association.

We would thank Hon. Balasaheb Bodake who has stood like a pillar for Raje Shivaji Climbing Wall, Shri. Manik Durge and Shri Rahul Durge of Shri Shivaji Vyayam Mandal and Mr. Surendra Shelke President of Pimpri Chinchwad Mountaineering Association who has been the inspiration and backbone for Sport Climbing in Maharashtra right from 2001 when the first ever Sport Climbing Wall was constructed in PCMC due to his Herculian efforts.
