A great initiative by D.M. Varun, Vice-President of Pondicherry Kabaddi Association, who has promised to support Satyan, a young Kabaddi player.

A 10th standard Pondichery Government School student, Satyan is the son of a daily wage worker and dreams about playing Kabaddi for India. After listening to the various ups and downs of Satyan’s Kabaddi career so far, Vice-President D.M. Varun felt the need for change to empower young Kabaddi players in Pondicherry. He has since pledged to inspire fellow talented Kabaddi players in Pondicherry.

The Kabaddi Association of Pondicherry recently organised the 47th Kabaddi State Championship for Women, which was a resounding success.

Held on 23rd & 24th October, the Women's Championship was conducted at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium with national-level facilities for all players, officials and spectators.

The Kabaddi Association of Pondicherry would like to congratulate all the participants and teams for making it a memorable event. Under the leadership of president, Mr. Jayaraj, we hope to raise the bar and continue to promote the sport of Kabaddi in the state of Puducherry.
