Thanks to our generous donors, we have raised about 96 thousand in five days! But, we have a long way to go. If you haven't yet, please consider donating. We are raising funds to reach out to 150 children from the vulnerable communities in Raigarh district.

We need 13,000/- per student to cover their annual expenses towards coaches, sports accessories and training equipment, and nutritional support.

In a world where children's exposure to violence negatively impacts their lives and makes them vulnerable, we are using sports as a means to help them express, heal, and unlearn the idea that silence or abuse equates to power.

We often acknowledge but overlook the mental trauma a difficult childhood can bring. That’s why we are reaching out to those who believe that when children are taught how to process trauma, understand their emotions, and express themselves in healthy ways, they grow into empathetic adults who make better decisions.

Let’s do this for the future of vulnerable communities in Raigarh. Let’s start with these children, empowering them to carry this message forward.
We need ₹10 lakh to support 150 students—covering the salaries of our coaches, nutritional aid for the children, and expenses for the training venue and sports equipment.

In Raigarh district, our survey of vulnerable communities revealed a stark reality—70% of children had either witnessed or experienced domestic violence. This not only perpetuated generational gender-based violence but also deeply impacted their mental health and overall development.

This is why Monkey Sports raised funds last year to use sports as a tool to help children process their experiences and unlearn harmful definitions of power.

This year, we aim to reach 150 children and are raising ₹10 lakhs to make it happen.

Monkey Sports is working towards empowering girls by increasing access to sports for them.

With a focus on inclusion and safety, we have increased the participation of girls in programs from 33% to more than 50%.

Empowering girls is not just mere words to celebrate one day but requires effort and reflection every day.

First Win in School Events!

Monkey Sports' children won the Raigarh Block-Level Kho-Kho Tournament out of more than 22 participating teams!

Boys' Team: Champions of the tournament! 🏅

Girls' Team: Secured the runner-up position! 🏆

In addition, we are proud to announce that Neetu, a community youth leader and volunteer, won the 100-meter race! 🎖️

This victory marks a significant milestone as the children now move on to represent their school at the District Level.

Notably, 8 out of 12 players from the boys' team and 5 out of 10 players from the girls' team are from our program.

It is important as living in rural marginalized communities, they have only seen people doing jobs such as daily wage labour works, driving or other meagre jobs.

It is a reason that many just see themselves in the same roles. Going for quick money to buy mobile phones and bikes or even early marriages and dropping out of school.

Showing them Kho-Kho world cup matches where Indian players represent their country getting cheers and love from the audience is to help them to see what they could become and how their life could be.

Evidence shows that visualization, mentoring and support helps.
