A common mistake during the squat is that the knees fall inwards. Thus a lot of pressure is on the knees, it also get's even more difficult to activate the glutes and the risk of injury increases.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐢𝐭❓

At first it's necessary to build a so called tripod with your feet. Distribute the weight on three points: the base of your big toe, the base of your pinky and the anterioir heel. It will take some time to strengthen your feet, especially people with flat feed will need time.

Distributing the weight only on the base of your big toe and the anterior heel will lead to the feet and thus the knees collapsing inward.

Furthermore, you could incorporate split squats into your workouts, thus you learn to maintain the correct knee travel.

Another great cue is to push your knees out, but don't overdo it with this one!

⇨ A strong core is absolutely everything in my opinion. Too often, people focus and prioritize the wrong thing in the gym which is getting strong and jacked as hell by lifting heavy loads and slamming the weights. I agree, lifting heavy is awesome, but the priority for all gym-goers should be a strong core for both performance reasons and health reasons.

You can lift heavier: When you have a strong core and your spinal column and body are stabilized, you reduce energy leaks in the kinetic chain meaning. This leads to stronger, more powerful contractions of the muscles required to lift the load and reduces compensation from other muscles, usually synergistic muscles 💪

Why do we plank? 👇👇

⦿ It strengthens your spine, rhomboids trapezius muscles, and abdominal muscles.

⦿ Every muscle is firing, activating, and working for you!

⦿ It improves and strengthens your posture.

How to properly do a plank:

1. Hands are shoulder width apart.
2. Bend your arms at your elbows so your weight rests on your forearms.
3. Maintain a neutral spine.
4. Keep abdomen, glutes, pelvic floor, and thighs engaged!
5. Bring your sternum forward.
6. Press your heels to the back of the mat.
7. Breathe!

⏩ The challenge is to hold this plank for 1 minute. Can you do it?

Building big arms can make you a hard time if you don’t do the right things.
Here are some great exercises for your Biceps and Triceps.
The most important thing is training them more frequently. If you train them 1/week and don’t like the results, train them 2/week.
