Empowering Girls Through Self-Defence Training
In today’s world, empowering girls with the ability to protect themselves is no longer optional—it is essential. Recognizing this need, the Academy of Combat Sports Goa is conducting a Girls-Only Self-Defence & Empowerment Program, aimed at building confidence, awareness, and practical safety skills among young girls.
This program is designed to help girls understand personal safety, recognize potential danger, and respond effectively in real-life situations. Rather than promoting aggression, the training emphasizes prevention, awareness, self-control, and smart decision-making. Girls are taught how to stay calm under pressure, set boundaries confidently, and protect themselves when necessary.
The training is conducted in collaboration with Insanity Jiu-Jitsu Academy and is allied and affiliated with Atrixion Academy, UAE, ensuring international-level standards and structured methodology. Sessions are led by International Coach Raunak Singh, with guidance and support from Assistant Instructor Erica De Sequeira, an international athlete. Together, the coaching team brings professional experience, discipline, and a supportive learning environment tailored specifically for girls.
The program covers essential topics such as situational awareness, anti-bullying strategies, verbal self-defence, and basic escape techniques. Practical drills are taught in a safe, controlled, and age-appropriate manner, helping participants build physical coordination along with mental strength. The training also encourages discipline, focus, and emotional resilience—skills that extend beyond self-defence into everyday life.
Open to girls aged 8 to 18 years, the program can be conducted as school workshops, regular classes, or short-term training camps, depending on institutional requirements. Participants receive a certificate of completion, recognizing their commitment to learning personal safety and self-empowerment.
At its core, this initiative aims to create confident, aware, and independent young women. As the program strongly believes, self-defence is not about fighting—it is about awareness, confidence, and the courage to stand strong.
