150+ athletes participated in the 9th Palghar District Kickboxing Championship 2026 🥊🔥

Held on 19th April at Vasai, the championship brought together athletes from children, cadets, juniors, seniors, and veterans across multiple fighting styles, showcasing discipline, skill, and true sportsmanship.

The gold medal winners have now qualified and are heading to the State Level Kickboxing Championship, marking a proud step forward in their sporting journey.

The way forward is strong Palghar district kickboxing is growing rapidly with structured development and rising participation. The induction of 12 new district referees further strengthens the official system and technical standards of the sport.

⭐ Strengthening the Sport🥊Referee Induction in Palghar District🪶

Palghar District Kickboxing Association successfully conducted a district referee seminar on 11th April with 25 participants, where 12 new referees were certified after intensive theory, practical & examination.

🕘 A 6-hour session covering Tatami rules, Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light & Musical Forms.

Conducted under the guidance of Suryaprakash Mundapat – World Referee & Vice Chairman of Wako India (Tatami Committee)

This seminar marks a big step towards a fairer, stronger & more professional kickboxing in Vasai–Virar & Palghar District.

With a more trained and educated referee panel, we are now all set for the District Kickboxing Tournament next week 👊

🏆 Palghar District Shines at the State Kickboxing Championship! 🥋🔥

The Maharashtra State Kickboxing Championship was held in Pune from 26th to 29th June 2025, featuring intense competition across various categories — from Children, Cadets, and Juniors to Seniors and Veterans.

We are proud to announce that the Palghar District Team has won two prestigious trophies: 🥇 Junior Trophy – for the combined performance of Children, Cadets, and Junior categories.
🥇 Senior Trophy – for outstanding performance in the Senior and Veteran categories.

These trophies were awarded for securing the maximum number of medals in the respective categories.

🥊🏅🏆The Palghar District Kickboxing Association (PDKA) successfully organized the District-Level Kickboxing Championship on Sunday, 27th April 2024, at MGP School, Vasai. The event featured intense and spirited competition across multiple age categories, including Children, Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, and Veterans.

We are proud to announce that the Gold & Silver medal winners from this championship have been selected to represent Palghar District at the upcoming State-Level Kickboxing Championship, which will be held soon at a venue within Maharashtra (details to be announced shortly).

💐 👏 PDKA extends heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for showcasing exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and discipline. A big thank you to the coaches, parents, volunteers, and officials who contributed to the event’s success!

✨🥳We’re happy to announce that two of our dedicated members Vishwaja Kale & Nicole Fernandes have successfully cleared the State Kickboxing Referee Examination held during the WAKO Maharashtra State Referee Seminar 2025, conducted from 11th to 13th April in Pune. They are now officially certified State Referees!

Our sincere thanks to the President of the Kickboxing Sports Association Maharashtra, Mr. Nilesh Shelar Sir & Secretary Mr. Dheeraj Waghmare Sir for their constant support and commitment to the growth of kickboxing in the state.

We’re also truly grateful to Sensei Suryaprakash Mundapat Sir for his guidance, encouragement, and belief in our members.
