🥊🏆 PROUD MOMENT FOR VASAI-VIRAR & MAHARASHTRA 🏆🥊

Our athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the Junior National Kickboxing Championship held from 30th May to 3rd June 2026 at K.T. Global School, Khurda, Odisha.

Representing Maharashtra, our three athletes brought home a total of 5 medals at the national level:

🥇🥇🥉 Shaurya Mundapat – 2 Gold Medals & 1 Bronze Medal

🥈🥈 Ansh Maurya – 2 Silver Medals

💪 Om Dere – Displayed excellent fighting spirit and performance, narrowly missing out after reaching the Quarterfinals.

A special mention to our PDKA President, Sensei Suryaprakash Mundapat, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Tatami Committee, he was entrusted with the overall responsibility of overseeing and managing all Tatami events throughout the National championship, reflecting his experience, leadership, and continued contribution to the growth of kickboxing.

🏆 We are also proud to share that Maharashtra secured an Overall 2nd Place finish at the championship.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our coaches, Sensei Suryaprakash Mundapat and Sensei Akshay Vernekar, for their tireless efforts in preparing and guiding the athletes for this championship.

A heartfelt thank you to Shri Santosh Agarwal Sir and Shri Nilesh Shelar Sir for their constant support, encouragement, and commitment towards the development of kickboxing, while continuously creating opportunities for athletes to compete and excel at the highest levels.

150+ athletes participated in the 9th Palghar District Kickboxing Championship 2026 🥊🔥

Held on 19th April at Vasai, the championship brought together athletes from children, cadets, juniors, seniors, and veterans across multiple fighting styles, showcasing discipline, skill, and true sportsmanship.

The gold medal winners have now qualified and are heading to the State Level Kickboxing Championship, marking a proud step forward in their sporting journey.

The way forward is strong Palghar district kickboxing is growing rapidly with structured development and rising participation. The induction of 12 new district referees further strengthens the official system and technical standards of the sport.

⭐ Strengthening the Sport🥊Referee Induction in Palghar District🪶

Palghar District Kickboxing Association successfully conducted a district referee seminar on 11th April with 25 participants, where 12 new referees were certified after intensive theory, practical & examination.

🕘 A 6-hour session covering Tatami rules, Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light & Musical Forms.

Conducted under the guidance of Suryaprakash Mundapat – World Referee & Vice Chairman of Wako India (Tatami Committee)

This seminar marks a big step towards a fairer, stronger & more professional kickboxing in Vasai–Virar & Palghar District.

With a more trained and educated referee panel, we are now all set for the District Kickboxing Tournament next week 👊
